strange encounter

Ruby and Lily were at the dinner table and Julia sat down along with Carolyn then there was David who was hiding in a sheet pretending to be a ghost to scare both Ruby and Lily

"David this is Ruby she's going to be your new governess" Emily said as David tore off the sheet "you ruined it...I  was gonna scare her" David said

"Damn it what have I told you about cutting holes in the sheets their Egyptian cotton" Roger said to his son which made Ruby frown in displeasure at the tone he used

David looked up at Ruby "I was gonna scare you...were you scared" David said Ruby smiled "yes I was quivering in my boots" Ruby said

Lily almost snorted when Ruby pinched her side making her squeak in pain "is something wrong" Emily asked Lily "nope Nothing at all" Lily said then cleared her throat as if Nothing happened

"You don't have to be nice to him just because he's nuts you know" Carolyn said making David glare at her "Carolyn" Emily said scolding her daughter

"Carolyn touches herself She makes noises like a kitten" David retorted "David" Emily said "you little shit" Carolyn said making David glare at her
"Carolyn enough both of you" Emily said

After dinner...

Ruby got unpacked in her room when she felt a chill go up her spine then turned to see a ghost making her almost look away as she fell asleep

Meanwhile...

back in the forest where Barnabas was buried a bunch of construction workers they found a coffin with chains on it and dug it up

One of the construction workers had been confused "what the hell is this" one said "Think it's a gas main" another construction worker said

"Not supposed to be any out here" one said and looked at the coffin "you gotta be shitting me get me some bolt cutters" another construction worker said

He brought the bolt cutters and cut off the chains holding the coffin the coffin moved which made the construction workers startled

The coffin lid flew up into the air and one of the construction workers ended up falling to the ground dead making the construction workers scream and run for their lives

One by one the construction workers were grabbed by the neck and when he was revealed to be the cursed vampire... Barnabas Collins

"I'm terribly sorry for this but you cannot imagine how thirsty I am" Barnabas said biting the construction workers neck sucking his blood

A McDonald's sign lit up behind him and he turned to read it out loud to himself "mephistopheles" Barnabas said as he turned around and walked through the forest

He saw a strange light "show yourself Satan mock me not with your strange luminance" Barnabas said as he saw a light shown in the distance

The light disappeared and he walked further into the forest where he came across a black road and walked in the middle of the road

He saw a car approaching "what is this some spectar approaches" Barnabas said as he was ready for his sacrifice "it is the eyes of the devil himself come to drag me to my judgement" Barnabas said

"Have a me lucifer my soul is prepared" Barnabas said as the car drove around him and Barnabas followed where the car drove off

Barnabas found himself back in his home town of Collinsport Barnabas saw that there were many changes in Collinsport and it confused him

He then went to his old house "my beloved Collinwood" Barnabas said as he walked forward and saw a drunk Willie by the pumpkin patch and hypnotized him to do his bidding

Lily was sitting in one of the chairs that was in the foyer reading a book while Carolyn was doing something and David was playing with his toys

"Have you ever seen such majesty" Barnabas said as Lily looks up from her book and shuts it turning to see a vampire in the house

Then Ms Stoddard came and brought Barnabas into a separate room for a private talk and she welcomed him into the house

At breakfast the next day...

Lily walked in to see the vampire who was seated at the end of the table "I was awakened by a yellow dragon with iron teeth confronted by a giant letter M with the luminance of a thousand lanterns" Barnabas said

This made Lily snort "what is funny?" Barnabas said "You are crazy almost as crazy as Ruby" Lily said "and you are?" Barnabas said

"This is Lily Thorn she came with the new governess" Emily said "he's not staying with us forever is he" Carolyn said

Then Julia walked in "morning" she said as she sat down next to Roger then saw Barnabas at the end of the table "who the hell is this?" Julia said

"That's what I wanna know" Lily said as a telepathic message was sent to her 'I'll be down in a minute to get breakfast' Ruby said in her mind

'Better late than never' Lily responded in her mind "Dr Hoffman this is our distant relative Barnabas Collins the 3rd" Emily said

"He'll be staying with us from England" Emily said as Lily narrowed her eyes "I've lived in England before and I'm pretty sure no one is ever dressed like that these days" Lily said eating her breakfast

"Well you'd be surprised" Barnabas said to Lily "sure" Lily said rolling her eyes and spotting Ruby coming down the stairs and enters the dining room

When Barnabas saw Ruby he stood up "Rosetta" he said making ruby look towards him she looked exactly like Rosetta Creel his dead lover

"That's Ruby she believes in ghosts like me" David said Lily looked at Ruby who stood frozen while looking at Barnabas

Ruby's eyes met with Barnabas and her heart pounded in her chest making her breath hitch she had finally found the one she was waiting for...her soulmate
