I do some last touches on my makeup before going to my closet and trying to decide which dress I would put for tonight festivities.
"Hey Laura, can you help me pick which one is better." I shout so that she can hear me wherever she is. I hear her footsteps coming towards me, indicating that she definitely heard me.
"Oh wow! You look amazing, Elliot will freak out when he sees you." She looks like a proud mama watching her daughtergo on her first date.
"I think the red one is the choice. You always look good in red." She's not lying, I love using red outfits and they do bring the best in me.
"Alright I gonna get dress. Did Alexia got here already?"
"Not yet, I keep calling her and she doesn't answer."
"I sure she will be here soon. Her and Elliot are always late for things like this, so it's ok." I say to her.
We hear the doorbell ring and seconds later I receive a message from Alexia.
"Alexia said it's them at the door, can you open while I finished here?"
"Yeah yeah, come out when you ready." Laura walks out of the room and I finish putting on my clothes and shoes. When I'm ready I leave my room and go towards the living room, where I hear their voices talking.
My eyes automatically go to Elliot, he's wearing a white dress shirt and beige pants, it's not his usual style, but since it was our two-year anniversary I insisted on something more formal. I glance at Alexia and I see her wearing a dress almost the same as mine and red, as much as I tried to conceal, this left me a little shocked.
'I didn't expect that.'
"Oh my god Alex! We act so much like twins sometimes. People are definitely going to confuse us tonight. I love this so much!"
"Yeah we do." I say not so happy as she was.
"Elliot don't drink too much or else you might take the wrong girl home tonight." She laughs at her own joke, well she was the only one who laugh. Me and Laura were shocked to say at least and Elliot he uh he looks guilty? Or uncomfortable? It's hard to read any emotion from him.
