"Told me him, and I would look so good
So when did you decide you want him instead?
No, I'm not saying I'm petty
But there's no sayin' that you're so innocent

You know there's nothing worse than missing the signs
'Cause you pulled the wool right over your eyes
I'll admit when I'm wrong, but this time I'm right
I'm sorry, but I'll never see your side

Said she was a girl's girl, that's a lie
Said she had my back, but she had the knife
I could never do it once, and she did it twice
And you wonder why, and you wonder why
We're not alike."

I was pacing back and forward in my apartment, waiting for Alex to call me or at least text me to say how everything went down. After our call earlier, she was pretty dead set on breaking up with Elliot, not that I did much effort to stop her he was being a dick to her for too long.

But when she told me she was going to his place, I was on edge the entire time. I wish I had offered to come along with her. At least I would know if everything is alright. You never know.

The one thing that made me feel better was when my sister called me, I was finally able to put all my thoughts out there. She gladly listened to me, and since she was friends with Alex too, she got worried for her. She was the first one to suggest a girls' night and to not even bring him up tonight, and I was all up for it. I just know what this breakup is going to do with Alex, and it's not going to be pretty.

After getting tired of waiting, I picked up the phone and tried to call Alex. A few minutes passed, and finally, someone picked up, making me anxious trying to figure out what happened.

"Stop calling E. She doesn't want to talk to you, and honestly, it is the worst time for us to talk too." Alexia's voice reaches me, and her words leave me paralyzed.

"That's awful intimate, don't you think?" I don't let her respond. "If you with her bring her here, Alexia, and we talk about this later. I really hope I heard it wrong for your sake."
