Rachel pov:

It's Friday night. Ash and my other pals have been encouraging me to go out for a night of fun. My mother agreed, stating, "I agreed to go have some fun for once and not be so morbid all the time," though unwillingly. So here I am getting dressed; it's been a while since I've gone out. I get out of the shower, wrap my hair in a towel, and dry it with another. I put on a robe and slippers and entered my room. I open my wardrobe and search through my clothes for something sexy to wear.

I chose a black short dress with gold glitter and black and gold shoes, completing the look with gold earrings, bangles, and a necklace. I got dressed and started blow drying my hair; I'm going to wear it loose. Ash enters my room, dressed handsomely in a tight, stunning pink shirt and black slacks. The black eyeliner brightens his dark brown eyes, and the silver earrings complete his image. His golden-brown hair is groomed, and he stands 1.7 meters tall. "How are you not finished yet? "You said 7 p.m. " He scolds me, swinging his hands in the air. Ever since high school, he has been the dramatic kind.

Ten years ago, Ash was standing against the wall in the gym, near the water bottles. I went to get one after working out. As I was drinking water, I noticed the school's jock with his mates; as I was eyeing him out, Ash questioned me. "He's ridiculously hot, right?" I snickered. "Yes, did you see his abs? I suppose he has about a six-pack under that top." He looked at me and inquired. "You think so. What makes you say that?" I smirked at him. "My father owns a kickboxing facility, so attractive guys with six-packs and muscles are everywhere. Want to come over and check out the boys with me?

That's how our friendship began, and we're now great friends who always have each other's back. I give him an apologetic grin. "Sorry, Ash, I helped Mum with the food stock take; we finished a bit later than I expected." Ash shrugs his eyes at me and replies. "Fine, but let's get going already; there are hot guys to perv over; they are not going to do it by themselves." "Okay, let's go; we'll meet the other girls at the pub first."

We get into Ash's car and proceed to the pub. We get a table for six and order drinks. I start with a Cosmopolitan, and Ash with a Margarita. We stick out at the bar till nine thirty, then we travel to Seduction, one of the most prominent nightclubs, run by Lee Morvant. I've heard he's 1.80m tall, medium build, slightly muscular, medium-length red hair, silver eyes, and attractive; they claim he constantly wears black eyeliner and black nail polish.

We are in line to go to the club, and you can hear music playing. There is laughter and bustle all around us, and I talk with my friends while we wait to get inside. Finally, we entered the club and divided the group into two groups, one for drinks and the other for finding a table. We go to order a round of cocktails and bring them to the table. The nightclub includes a large dance floor in the center, a bar on one side, and tables and couches on the other. The VIP section is on one half of the upstairs, while the other side has a number of private rooms. Ash pushed me to go dance after we had settled down and enjoyed our drinks.

Dante pov:

Lee sits in the VIP section with his latest doll on his lap. As he looks out over the dance floor, he observes the young fighter Dante is interested in. Smirking, he picks up the phone and dials his closest friend. After two rings, Dante picks up. "Hello," he said, smiling in response to his friend's gloomy tone. "I have some entertaining news if you're interested."

Dante sighs. "Stop teasing and spit it out already; I'm busy." He was pleased that he had pulled off a hoax. "Your little fighter is shaking her ass on my dance floor." The pause indicates that he has captured his attention. "I'm coming over right now." I conclude the phone call with Lee and travel to the club; when I get there, she catches my sight while dancing with her pals. I make my way through the mob and catch her scent, which smells like vanilla and flowers; she's clearly a carrier.

I continue walking and head upstairs to the VIP section, where I see Lee in his chair with a group of women surrounding him and one on his lap, all beauties. I sit opposite him on the couch against the wall, facing the dance floor. I arch my eyebrow at him. "I see you have a new harem." He gives me a sneaky smile. "You know I like my dolls." He looks at the dance floor. "Speaking of that little fighter, he sure can dance and isn't too bad looking," I tell him, growling softly. "Hands off, she will be mine!" Lee grins at me.

"I was only teasing; no need to get so worked up; she's not my type anyway." He summons the waiter over. "So what do you want to drink, whiskey or blood?" I order a whiskey and relax back on the couch, watching her. I retrieve my phone and contact Rex, who answers after the third ring. "Hello, boss, what can I do for you?" I give him the instructions. "I want you to organize a fight for Rachel, and when she wins, bring her to my office. I want to meet her."

Dante smiles with glee as Rex informs him that he will arrange a battle. Rex stares at his phone, puzzled by Mr. Voss' sudden interest in Rachel and the ramifications. He schedules his fights to see where he can fit her in, as she only competes in hand-to-hand combat matches. There are spots open in two weeks, so he texts Rachel: Hey, I got you another fight two weeks from now at midnight.

Rachel pov:

After dancing, my friends and I return to our table. As I sip my drink, the topic suddenly turns to me. Mary looks directly at me. "So, Rachel, how are things progressing with Rex? Have you made any moves yet?" I rolled my eyes at her. Because it's so easy to flirt with a guy who doesn't seem interested. "You know, with my current situation, dating is not on my list of priorities." Nicole then looked at me. "Rach, you can't stay single forever."

I sigh and glance at everyone. "Not forever, just till things settle down, then I can focus on making moves on Rex." I give Ash a smirk. "And when are you settling down?" He gives me a filthy look to draw attention to him. "Nowhere near; I'm still having fun!" Suddenly, my alerts go off, and I see a message from Rex: Hey, I've got you another battle two weeks from now, at midnight. I'll be devoting the next two weeks to training for my forthcoming bout and preparing for the struggle ahead. I really wish he would send me a text about something other than my brother and arguments. We decide to make the most of it as the night is still young, so we continue to party.
