3 - Emu Otori

"Saki, I'm back." said Tsukasa.

"Tsukasa! You're back!" Saki exclaimed.

"Yeah, I am." 

"Listen, we have to talk about something, Saki."

"What is it, Tsukasa?"

"I can't  keep taking care of you. You might have to be with Aunt Shiho.

"Whaaat?! B-but-"

"I'm sorry, Saki."

"It won't actually happen, though, right?!"

"Listen, Saki. I can't keep taking care of you, and Aunt Shiho wants you."

"..." Saki looked like she was going to cry. She went back to her room, slamming the door behind her.

Timeskip

Tsukasa went into Phoenix Wonderland. He sat down on the chair and stared at the monitor. Near the camera for the entrance, a figure appeared. The person rang the doorbell, and Tsukasa got it.

There stood a girl with short, pink, hair, looking about Tsukasa's age. She was wearing a police uniform outfit, and she gave a friendly smile.

"Hi-hi~ ☆ You must be Phoenix Wonderland's newest security guard~" she said. 

"Can I help you?" asked Tsukasa, clearly annoyed.

"I'm Emu!! Emu Otori! ☆"

"Tsukasa. Tsukasa Tenma."

"Nice to meet you, Tsukasa! Wonderhoy~"

Emu followed Tsukasa to his office.

She glanced at the "Visit Miyamasuzaka" poster on the wall.

"Hm? Miyamasuzaka?" she asked.

"My poster."

"How do you like your job here, Tsukasa?"

"..." Tsukasa hesitated for a moment.

"It's okay, none of the guards last here, anyway! ☆"

"...Okay?"

"Well, what's this?" Emu picked up Tsukasa's tube of sleeping pills.

"I-It's not what you think. They're sleeping pills."

Emu frowned. "You're not supposed to be sleeping. You need to watch the monitors!~"

"My bad."

"Have you met them yet?" Emu asked.

"Who?" Tsukasa thought she meant the other staff.

"Follow me!"

Tsukasa followed Emu into the darkness. Emu pulled on a switch, revealing the one and only Wonder Stage.

"I meant them!!" she drew the curtains of the stage. "Meet Robo-Nene, Mikudayo, and her friends!~ ☆"

Tsukasa gasped. "Hey hey, watch this~" Emu said. She pressed a button on the stage, and the animatronics started moving and dancing. "They're so cuteeee!! Wahaha~"

Timeskip

Emu had already left. Tsukasa went back to his office and took his sleeping pills, and played nature sounds on his earphones.

"I'll be back," said Mrs. Tenma. "Tsukasa, watch Toya, okay?"

"M-hm!" Tsukasa said with a nod. "I will!"

Mrs Tenma walked away, but when Tsukasa turned his head, Toya was not there. He then again heard the all-too-familiar sound of a car engine.

He ran.

"TOYAAA!!"

Tsukasa sprinted towards the car. Toya was inside the car. He couldn't quite see the person driving the car, but he saw Toya at the back seat, staring at Tsukasa. The car was speeding up, and Tsukasa ran faster. The car disappeared.

Tsukasa turned around.

There were 5 kids.

They were standing there, simply. It was even creepy, something looked off.

"Hey!" Tsukasa yelled. "D-Did you see what happened to Toya?"

The kids didn't move. Tsukasa scanned his eyes over the kids, just there.

He spotted a girl with long grayish-green hair, with her strands of hair tied at the front. She stared directly at Tsukasa.

So he did what he did, he ran towards the girl. The girl instantly started running away from him.

"Wait!! Come back!!" shouted Tsukasa. "Hey!-"

The girl glared at Tsukasa before running even faster.

"Hey!! Get back here—"

Tsukasa ran harder than he ever had. He reached the girl and grabbed her by the shoulder.

"What happened to Toya?"

"..."

"TELL ME!"

Suddenly, the girl pulled out a small knife and stabbed Tsukasa in the stomach.

"Where, did you get the wound, Tsukasa?" Emu asked. 

"...I don't know."

"Okaaay..." Emu said, wrapping a bandage around the bleeding part of Tsukasa's arm.

"Be more careful next time!!~"

"Okay."

After that, Tsukasa and Emu talked.

"I used to have a brother, Toya. He was kidnapped." Tsukasa said.

"Whaaaaat?! That sucks!!" said Emu.

"I know."
