2 - Phoenix Wonderland

Tsukasa took the job.

"Saki, I'll be working, so stay with the babysitter, okay?"

"Okay." Saki wasn't really trouble to the babysitter, she mostly stayed in her room to draw.

It was around 12am when Tsukasa arrived at the place, Phoenix Wonderland. He remembered what Kamishiro had told him.

"About a decade ago, this place was really popular with kids. It was a fun theme park, with the stage performances and rides. Children loved it."

Well, seeing the condition it was in, this definitely does not look like it would be popular for children. Tsukasa thought, looking at the run-down building.

Phoenix Wonderland had a retro look, that of a theme park. He made his way into the office, where a tape and TV awaited him. 

The tape had the name "TSUKASA" written on it. He inserted it into the display.

The video showed a girl with Phoenix Wonderland in the background of the video.

"Welcome to Phoenix Wonderland, where fun and fantasy come to life~ ☆" the girl said. "If you are watching this, you have been selected as Phoenix Wonderland's newest security guard! ☆"

The girl in the video went over the basics. "Your main job is to watch the security cameras for any activity. Keep the place neat and tidy, too." She showed the electric management, and the power management in the office.

"Aaaaand~ Meet the animatronics! We've got Robo-Nene----"

BZZTT!! The TV started glitching like mad. The static was ear-piercing, but after a while it stopped.

"Weird," Tsukasa thought. 

The girl continued. "Aren't they adorable? ☆" she exclaimed, probably referring to the animatronics she was about to show. 

"We hope you enjoy your time at the Phoenix Wonderl----"

The glitching started again. It was ear shattering. Tsukasa hurriedly pulled the tape out of the TV.

Tsukasa sighed.

Well, this job seems easy enough, he thought.

He sat down on the chair next to the monitor which displayed the cameras. 

The cameras were old and broken, and had terrible quality. 

Tsukasa went out of his office, but once he went out into the area, he had a eerie feeling.

Probably because it's so dark, he thought. He walked to the place which was described as the Wonder Stage in the video.

Slowly, he approached it. He carefully lifted the curtains and felt his chest tighten.

What am I being so scared for?

He shone the flashlight inside the stage. "Oh, there's something." Tsukasa thought. He shone the flashlight higher. 

"OH JESUS CHRIST--" Tsukasa almost screamed. There, inside the stage, was an animatronic, that resembled a girl with green-gray hair with a stage outfit.

Tsukasa went back into his security office. He sighed.

Tsukasa set up his "Visit Miyamasuzaka" poster in the office. He took his earphones and played nature sounds on it, and took his sleeping pills.

"I'll be back," said Mrs. Tenma. "Tsukasa, watch Toya, okay?"

"M-hm!" Tsukasa said with a nod. "I will!"

Mrs Tenma walked away, but when Tsukasa turned his head, Toya was not there. He then again heard the all-too-familiar sound of a car engine.

He ran.

"TOYAAA!!"

Tsukasa sprinted towards the car. Toya was inside the car. He couldn't quite see the person driving the car, but he saw Toya at the back seat, staring at Tsukasa. The car was speeding up, and Tsukasa ran faster. The car disappeared.

Tsukasa turned around.

There were 5 kids.

They were standing there, simply. It was even creepy, something looked off. 

"Hey!" Tsukasa yelled. "D-Did you see what happened to Toya?"

The kids didn't move. Tsukasa scanned his eyes over the kids, just there. 

He spotted a girl with long grayish-green hair, with her strands of hair tied at the front. She stared directly at Tsukasa.

So he did what he did, he ran towards the girl. The girl instantly started running away from him. 

"Wait!! Come back!!" shouted Tsukasa. "Hey!-"

The girl glared at Tsukasa before running even faster. 

"Hey!! Get back here—"

The sound of beeping awoke Tsukasa. It was his alarm clock. 6am.

Time to go home.
