Cale in Eleceed (Totcf x Eleceed)

Chapter- 16

Cale just came to the staff room to get some papers but he found the teachers flocking there. They were sitting together. They were discussing about something. 

Seong Siyeong , the teacher from Baekdu was convincing other teachers how unusual it was for the affiliated students to lose from unaffiliated students, especially Jiwoo and Wooin, since they were found out not long ago.

But the other teachers were not buying his words.

Cale resisted the urge to roll his eyes. He hurriedly collected the papers. As he was about to leave something fell from the table turning everyone's attention to him. Cale, still with his stoic face, picked up the object and put it back in it's place.

"Continue, I just came to collect some papers"

He said as he was about to leave the staff room Seong Siyeong called him back.

"Mr. Cale, you're our academy's evaluator and the largest shareholder. Please tell me what you think."

He said dragging Cale into the discussion.

"Don't you think it's ridiculous for someone who's only awakened for six months to beat someone who's been training since childhood. It's not only ridiculous but also suspicious."

"Do you really want to hear my opinion Seong Siyeong?"

Cale asked.

"Yes please, after all, you're a respectable figure among us"

'The f-, since when did I became a 'respectable figure' in awakened world. Don't spout this bullshit.'

Different from his thoughts, Cale's face was stoic.

"Fine then, since you wish it so much"

Cale said turning towards all the teachers.

"First if all, the way you're behaving is childish. If you can't handle a single setback, maybe you shouldn't have stepped in the world of the awakened."

"And about the probability of them defeating your kids. It all happened before your eyes, if you still can't comprehend the reality happening in front of you then maybe you have some neurological issues."

"And this place is for you to teach kids, not to form a cult. So please focus on teaching students, don't go around playing detective. You're not a child anymore."

"Pfft-"

Cale's words made other teachers laugh while Seong Siyeong was red in embarrassment.

"Well spoken Cale"

On the door was Han Seongik and Yoo Jiyeong standing. They probably heard whatever Cale spoke.

"As Cale said, it's childish to not accept your defeat. Such childishness has no place in awakened world. This place is where we teach our future generations. If we, the adults adhere such childishness then how can we expect our kids to be mature."

Han Seingik's voice echoed containing not only scolding to Seong Siyeong but also warning to everyone. 

Cale taking advantage of Han Seongik speaking scurried away from there. On the way he decided to visit Jiwoo in his dorm. 

Jiwoo was still unconscious. Kayden was sitting beside him in his cat form. Cale checked Jiwoo's condition.

"He should be up until tomorrow"

He said.

"How would you know?"

Kayden questioned.

"Intiution"

Cale answered as he shrugged his shoulders.

"Kayden"

Suddenly Cale called Kayden. Hearing his name Kayden became alert.

"Are you healed or will it require time?"

"I'm no where near healed"

He said with a bitter face.

"How much time will it take for you to be fully healed?"

"I don't know, it's like a huge pit is created inside me. No matter how much power I try to fill it with, it's always empty. And there's also various blockages in my force control. I'm just trying to figure my situation little by little."

"You do know you don't have the very time you need, right? People are waiting for your downfall to prey on your corpse. And worse situation is that Jiwoo became a part of this dangerous game with you."

Kayden was silent. 

He knew he had dragged Jiwoo with him by making him his disciple. 

"You can hide it for now but how long can it escape everyone's eyes, someone will get suspicious. Jiwoo is a newly awakened without any association to support him. He is an easy prey waiting to be killed. And even if you disclose your stand behind him, it'll do him more harm than good, especially when you're in this condition."

Cale's words were like needles cutting Kayden. He knew everything yet Cale's words made him even more aware of the dangers lurking behind. 

"And I hate to break it to you but, you're not smart or patient enough to carefully plan for Jiwoo's future. In fact, the only time you can be smart is fighting which does not in lines with Jiwoo's good future."

This successfully made Kayden puke blood.

"What are you trying to say?"

Kayden asked gathering himself.

"Kayden Break, surrender yourself to me"
