Chapter 9

The phone rang twice before George finally decided on answering the call.

" Good evening ma'am ,how may I help you?" He asked in a professional tone and I rolled my eyes at his stupidity.

" Well , I'm going to starbucks with my friend so I would give you a call once I am done" I said.

" Okay , may I know whom are you going with ma'am ? It's for security purpose" George said .

What the hell? Now I had to give him every single detail of where I'm , with who I am and so on? No no no this is not happening at all ,I sighed frustrated.

" Look George , you are my bodyguard GEART ,but you are not my father and don't try to be one" I said annoyance clear in my voice. " I'll give you a call when I am done ", with that I keep the phone.

Beth pulled the car in the parking lot of Starbucks. There where not may car in the parking area. I got out of the car and so did Beth.

" Hey you go inside, I just need to make a call , I will be right back" she said pulling her phone out of her pocket.

" Okay great ", I said and walked in the shop.

" Good evening Madam ,How may I help you?" The lady asked with a smile on her face.
" One caramel latte please " I said pointing on the screen where it was written. I payed her the money and she placed my order on the counter. I grabbed my drink and walked to a free booth near the window . It was November and it was getting cold day by day and a hot Carmel Latte just made me feel warm. Beth walked in removing her gloves and stuffing it into her coat pocket. She quickly grabbed her drink and walked towards me.

" Hey I am back " Beth said placing her drink on the table and sitting down.

" Oh that's great , All okay?" I asked since she looked a little spaced out after her phone call.

" Oh yes I' m fine just it was mom , she thinks I am a kindergarden student" she huffed in anger.

" Oh what's wrong are you running late for something ?" I asked leaning a little on the table.

" No no the usual, she is staying out late at work and she wants me to babysit my brother" she said taking a sip of her coffee.

" Oh I see .. " I trail off . It must be so nice to have a mother to call you and check up on you. Have a younger brother to play with , talk to.

" Wowo , All okay there?" Beth asked shaking here hand in front of my face.

" Oh yes , I ju-- " I was cut when my phone started buzzing in my pocket . I pulled my phone out to check whose messages it was. There was a lump in my trough when I saw the same unknown number . It read" Where the hell are you I am waiting outside come soon" ~unknown

" What's wrong " Beth asked seeing the worry on my face .

" I- I don't know there is some unknown person texting me , it says the person is waiting outside Starbucks and asked me to come out " I said in a shaky voice.

" I guess you should go out and see who it is .. I could come along with you?" She said a little unsure.

" Okay lets go and see then" I said standing up picking my coffee with it .

When I and Beth walked out , I had a slight feeling it could be Evan, Oh my God he wants to kill me ? No no I can't die so soon . My legs stop on spot , I was no way in hell am going out. Maybe he was calling from some other number .

" Beth wait , I can't go out there " I say taking one step back. " I-It could be E-evan " I say all the fear taking over me .

" Common Cora , I am with you he can't do anything " she said grabbing my hand .
