Minus Two

Agent Fowler calls the base to tell the Autobots about decepticons. Another mission, and Ultra Magnus wasn't allowed to go due to medical reasons. Smokescreen held back a snicker as he left the base, he knew in the back of his mind that it was rude, but he was finally free from Magnus' strict rules. Smokescreen transformed into his alt-mode and drove through the bridge.

Four Vehicons were in front of them, two holding a crate. A space bridge opened next to them, meaning Soundwave might be near. The Vehicons and Soundwave started to shoot at the Autobots in order to give cover for the two with the crate. Optimus launched into the air to draw Laserbeak's fire.

While Optimus dealt with Laserbeak and Soundwave, Smokescreen and the others speed for the four Vehicons. But they were too late, the Vehicons escaped. Smokescreen heard a thud behind him and transformed into his bipedal mode. Soundwave had been shot out of the sky by Optimus. Smokescreen couldn't help but say wow. Soundwave was completely unconscious, and ready to be taken back to the Autobot base. Smokescreen may have not had a lot of action, but at least things got interesting.

Smokescreen stood in the background and watched the interrogation, or the attempted interrogation. It was clear they weren't getting anywhere. Soundwave let out a loud sound that messed with everyone's audio receptors. 

Soundwave erases his data and speaks, "Soundwave superior, Autobots inferior."

Then he crashed his own drives. After that things went slow, eventually everyone left, leaving Smokescreen with Ratchet and Bulkhead. There was also Soundwave, but Smokescreen didn't feel like he really counted.

"Can't we throw a tarp over him? He's creeping me out," Bulkhead mentions.

"Yeah, it's like he's watching, no matter where you go," Smokescreen had a sinking feeling Soundwave wasn't completely unconscious.

"Would both of you stop focusing on what Soundwave can or cannot see, and help me figure out what he did not tell," Ratchet shouts, "Like why Megatron would be interested in something believed to generate enough power, to create a black hole."

Smokescreen had nearly forgotten about that. That's what the Decepticons stole earlier, but why?

"Black holes?!" Smokescreen sounds surprised, "So Megatron looking to swallow up the known universe?"

"And everything in it," Bulkhead continues.

"No, no," Ratchet disagrees, "he would merely want to harness the power of something capable of swallowing worlds, in order to... create one."

Ratchet looks like he just realized something important, and Smokescreen thinks he understands as well. Ratchet contacts Optimus who says they can't let Megatron rebuild the Omega Lock. They all know it may save Cybertron, but it would be the end of Earth. That doesn't stop Ratchet from looking disappointed though.

"Ratchet, it may not be with the Forge or the Omega Lock, but we're gonna find a way to get our planet repaired. Who knows, maybe I've got enough strength to do it myself," Smokescreen tries to encourage Ratchet.

Agent Fowler walks in, and right after Laserbeak busts in. Laserbeak must have followed him to the base. Laserbeak shoots Soundwave free. Smokescreen manages to shoot a chunk of Laserbeaks wing off, but he still flies right into Smokescreen. Knocking him to the ground. Laserbeak connected to Soundwave and he woke up immediately.

Bulkhead attacks but is knocked away. Smokescreen attempts a flying kick, but ends up being slammed against a table and being electrocuted into unconsciousness.
