Amelia's POV: I heard the sound of snowflakes and quickly opened my eyes to see them on my windowsill. It's Christmas Day!!! I jumped out of bed and started running to the living room. I took Alexa with me and turned the volume all the way up. I ran to mom and dad's room and stood at the entrance to their room.
"Alexa please play All I want for Christmas is you" I asked Alexa nicely and after a few seconds the first notes of the song played and I opened the door to their room loudly and dramatically as if a sheriff was coming into town. They woke up with a jump from the loud noise of the music.
"Mom!! Dad!!! It's Christmas Day!!!!!" I yelled and I climbed on their bed to jump on it.
"Amelia it's 6am!!" Dad said and put the pillow on his head. Mom actually matched her energy to mine and with one eye half asleep and half open she laughed and got up to jump on the bed with me.
"I JUST WANT YOU FOR MY OWN MORE THAN YOU COULD EVER KNOW MAKE MY WISH COME TRUE..." She sang loudly and picked me up in her arms to dance with me and jump on the bed.
"ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS IS YOU!" I screamed along with her and completed the words of the song. Dad finally gave in and removed the pillow from his eyes just to look at us and laugh.
"C'mon daddy you don't wanna disappointed our daughter" mom said and she threw the pillow at him. The song ended and I knew exactly which song to put next. In a dramatic move I decided to throw myself out of her hands, get off the bed and run to the living room. Mom and Dad looked at each other worriedly and ran after me up the stairs.
"Ames where are you going?? what happened?? Dad asked worried and mom looked at him with a nervous face. I stood in the living room waiting for them and opened my mouth
"Alexa please play Christmas Tree Farm by Taylor Swift " I asked nicely again and mom started laughing. She still hasn't gotten used to the fact that I grew up listening to all her songs
"IN MY HEART IS A CHRISTMAS TREE FARM WHERE THE PEOPLE WOULD COME TO DANCE UNDER SPARKLING LIGHTS" I screamed the words like my life depending on it. I pulled their hands to come dance with me and they jumped. We look like a bunch of idiots from the side. We are all in matching pajamas that mom bought us for Christmas.
"BUNDLED UP IN THEIR MITTENS AND COATS AND THE CIDER WOULD FLOW AND I JUST WANNA BE THERE TONIGHT!" Dad started singing in a high voice as well, obviously he knows all the words. Well done to me for the education I gave him and now he is the coolest Swiftie dad in the world. Mom was surprised that he knew the words to this song too and she just stood there embarrassed and put her hands on her cheeks. She looked at us proudly and with her biggest smile. We continued to sing and dad picked me up in his arms and started jumping with me
