"You look shorter than the last time I saw you." I say.
"Fuck off." Max says as Grant laughs.
"Where's Madison?" I ask.
"Look, it's cool if you're trying to hook up with my sister, just don't tell me about it." Max says.
I chuckle and see Hailee talking to Danny.
"Looks like there's been a change of plans." Grant says as I stare at her.
Hailee and I's relationship was probably the most serious relationship I'd ever had. We broke up because of trust issues. I honestly hadn't thought about her since we broke up 4 months ago.
But I have to admit, seeing her with someone else makes me upset.

"Don't be a creep, go say hey." Grant says, nudging me.
I walk over and Hailee looks at me.
"You mind if I steal you for a minute?" I ask.
"I do, actually." Hailee says.
"Just take a quick walk with me." I say.
Hailee sighs and nods.
"I'll be back." Hailee says.
Danny nods and we walk outside.
"What?" Hailee asks.
"Quite a coincidence that we ended up at the same party." I say.
"Get to the point." Hailee says.
"I just wanted to see how you were doing." I say.
"Oh, fuck off." Hailee says, laughing.
"You haven't thought about me in 4 months and all of sudden you wanna know how I'm doing?" Hailee says.

"I was thinking that maybe we could get back together." I say.

"Maybe isn't good enough." She says.
"We can figure it out. Take it one step at a time." I say.

"I just don't wanna see you with anybody else." I say.

"Oh, really?" She asks, walking closer to me.

"Really." I say.
She kisses me and I smile.
(Oh) Why can't we be on our worst behavior?
"Guess what?" She asks, as I put my hands on her waist.
"What?" I ask.
"I'm gonna make you work for it." She whispers.

She goes back inside and I groan.

"Are you actually trying to get back together relationship with her or just hookup?" Grant asks.
"I really do wanna get back together." I say.
