"The basketball player?" Griffin asks.
"Yeah." I say.
"That girl's gonna break your heart." Griffin says.
"What?" I ask.
"She still fucks with her ex. She was just at her game last night. Like, people think they're still dating by the way they act." Griffin asks.
She wears your number, but I got what you like
"Keyword: ex." I say.
She's got you right now, but I'm still on your mind
"You one delusional ass bitch." Griffin says.

"You have an accent, where are you from?" I ask.
"Texas." Y/n says.
I squint and she chuckles.
"I played overseas a lot so I've adapted a bunch of different accents." Y/n says.
"Ohh." I say.
She chuckles and I look at the time.
"You've got me up all late." I say.
Nights staying up talking
"Me?! It's 3 over here." She says, smiling.
"I forgot you were on the east coast." I say.
"Well, I'll let you go. Get some rest before your game." I say.
"I'll call you tomorrow." Y/n says.
"Okay, bye." I say.
"Bye." Y/n says.
She ends the call and I put my phone down.
You know, we talked about every little thing but every time I brought something related to her ex up, she changed the subject.
