The final participant in the maze emerged, the others gathered up to hear what was to happen next. The competition so far has been one-sided in favor of the hero course. Thirteen from class A made it, while twelve from B also moved on.

" Okay, you kids need a good long break! Go eat some lunch and come back for the grand finale!!"

The students raced out to find something to eat. It was free to UA students so they could eat till' their hearts content. All the problem children sat as a group. They conversed about the upcoming event, the event was a battle royale. Their was not a set opponent but whoever is the last standing will be the victor. The tension clung to the air, looming over the students. They had to fight their friends in order to succeed in this challenge. It's not the first time they've had to do it, but this time was the real deal. The scouts would pick who would be the best side kick for their agency. Who could be promoted enough to become a solo pro. This was the beginning of their careers as they know it.

Denai's appetite wasn't there so she threw what was left away. She chose to leave the group to gather herself. She on the verge of a melt down. The more she picture her future and what it consisted of, the more her stomach churned. Her past flashed through her mind every time completed an activity haphazardly. Stress filled every inch, every muscle fiber, and every blood cell of her body. The slap of her head slamming into her hands could be heard in the tunnel she collapsed in. An exasperated sigh left her plump lips. She glanced up to see Bakugou leaning on the wall anterior of her. Their eyes met for a brief moment. Not a word was uttered between them, but eventually Katsuki spoke.

"You need to get your shit together." He voiced bluntly.

"What makes you think I don't -" He cut her off swiftly.

"You've been moping around here all damn day as if you've lost your best friend." She turned her head, avoiding his gaze. She tried hiding her disturbance from the others but was to no avail. Denai was aware of how intuitive Bakugou was but still she failed to conceal her emotion.

"So, you've come to mock me?" She breathed out disgruntled.

"What?...no! That's not what I came here to do dammit! I came here because....if we're going to have a honest-to-god fight, then I need you on your A-game. I don't want to beat someone whose stuck in their head." Denai stood suddenly, taking him by surprise.

"I'll give you the fight you want regardless of how I'm feeling."

"Have this confidence while we're fighting." Denai watched as he walked off into the tunnel. She leaned onto the cement wall behind her.

'This is ludicrous.'

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
There they stood face to face—Each heart set on victory. Anticipation was high, focus was up, both have tunnel vision. Denai and Bakugou were ready for this battle. They didn't care about anyone else.
"The finale is about to begin!" Midnight raised her flag, holding it before letting it down quickly.
Bakugou didn't hesitate to attack. He went full force, sending an explosion her way. She dodged and kicked him in his side with the force of almost a metric ton. He was sent flying into the stands. He collided violently with the cement. The force shook the arena. The audience went silent as they watched the girl look down at her opponent. Bakugou broke free from the rock and stood tall. His smirk grew knowing she was not going to hold back on him, and neither was he.
They clashed viciously, aweing the spectators. Aizawa had a pang of worry for how far they were going. He had half a mind to intervene but he determined it to be best to watch.
Denai kneed Bakugou harshly in his solar plexus. He lost his breath for a second before grabbing her, pulling her in closer, and setting off an explosion. He gritted his teeth in frustration as she escaped the attack. But he realized that it connected, though the damage wasn't extensive. She winced at the burning sensation on her lower abdomen. Her healing took effect immediately. The only part about fighting Denai that was difficult was her healing ability. It was a nuisance for Bakugou, especially when he lands a good blow. But if he wore her down enough then he possible could win...only a possibility though.
She used her telekinesis to pick up debris left from other fights. She hurled the masses at him. He exploded as many as he could but it was too many. He was hit by few but expelled the majority. His body was bruised and sore. Denai, on the other hand, was in perfect condition—Physically. Mentally she was a wreck. Her head wasn't in it how it should have been. She simply gave off the appearance self-assurance.
While she was stuck in thought, he managed to get a blow in on her. She jumped backward to keep from sustaining more damage. Just as she was getting her bearings, he attacked once more. As she was about to retaliate, two figures familiar to both trudged into their vision. Midoriya and Todoroki came to fight Denai.
"You must want to fight also?" She stepped back to get the three of them in her line of sight.
"Bakugou isn't the only one gunning for you. You forgot about us." Todoroki spoke.
"You have to fight us as well as Kaachan." Midoriya had One For All ready to go.
"I don't need your help!" Bakugou was refusing to with them. He was angry they interrupted their fight.
"Bring it. I'll fight all of you. When I win don't cry." She got into a fighting stance.
Denai went on the offensive. She raised her leg, crashing it into the Earth. It created a huge crater in the field. She used the dust to disguise her movements. Her opponents couldn't guess what her next moves were, they had to wait and see. The waiting game wasn't something they could not afford as time was winding down quickly.
The hair on the back of their necks rose. A kick connected to Midoriya's back, sending him into Bakugou. Todoroki shot ice into the dust, missing her. She used her telekinetic ability to force Todoroki to burn both Midoriya and Bakugou. They dodge the attack and rush Todoroki. She drop kicked Todoroki into Midoriya. Bakugou got a hold of Denai and set off and explosion. The explosion made contact with her skin once more. Bakugou realized that his attacks were effective. He smirked deviously at the revelation. Denai wasn't happy with this. Denai has been battling during this festival for a little over four hours. Four hours was her time limit. Her healing power is going down exponentially. Bakugou was especially keen on exploiting his enemies' weaknesses.
"Not healing as fast." He teased, wiping sweat from his forehead.
"Stop talking. Just fight!" Some of her composure slipping toward the end.
As she attacked, Midoriya and Todoroki grouped with Bakugou as time grew closer. Not only them but the rest of the students who were left standing. Denai was corner with nowhere to go. Denai shut her eyes and took a breath. When she opened her eyes again and a flash of energy spilled out, knocking everyone to the ground.
"Denai Nefertiti is the winner!!" Midnight announced.
Bakugou stood up seething in anger. But he couldn't lash out on her because Denai was tumbling to the ground, he caught her mid fall. She passed out from exhaustion. She used the remaining energy in her body for her last attack.
"fucking idiot....you over did it."
