A/n- Attack pt.3
A/N-Unedited (for now)
Bakugou POV
I woke up in a hospital bed with the extras surrounding me. They were looking at me with tears in their eyes. I don't care about any of it, though. The only thing I care about right now is Denai. I didn't know if she was even alive. It was starting to eat away at me. I couldn't take it anymore.
"Where is she?" I asked Pink cheeks (Ochaco Uraraka), who was standing beside my bed, holding onto the rail with tears pouring down her face. My words probably hurt her by the change in her expression. We dated when we were second years. I might've loved her, but I quickly realized that wasn't true. I found her attractive, but I didn't love her. I know she was heartbroken by it. I was honest about my feelings before things had gotten too far. Apparently, that wasn't true because she still has strong feelings for me.
"What?" She asked
"Where is Denai? What happened to her?" I asked again, sitting up. She looked down and avoided my question.
"Kaachan-" Deku started, but I cut him off.
"Fuck! I'll go look for her myself." I pulled out the IV and pushed myself out of bed.
"Bakugou, you're still injured. You should stay in bed." Icy-hot tried to stop me by placing his hand on my shoulder, but I smacked it away.
"If you bastards won't tell me, then I'll find out on my own!"
The hospital gown tangled around my legs as I stumbled forward, the stitches in my side pulling taut with every ragged breath. The machines behind me shrieked alarms, and footsteps pounded down the hall—nurses, probably, coming to drag me back to that damn bed. But I didn't care. I had tunnel vision. I was focused on finding Denai...alive.
After the attack from those villains, I carried her here to this hospital with all the strength I had left. I suffered blunt force trauma and a deep cut to my left side that required at least thirty stitches. But Denai had two knife wounds to her chest and abdomen. Not to mention, she got hit in the head as I did. The image of her caramel brown skin turning pale was haunting me.
"Kaachan!" Deku rushed forward, grabbing my wrist before I could reach the door. His grip was firm—too firm. I growled, jerking my arm back, but he held tight, his damn hero training kicking in.
"You'll tear your stitches open!" His voice cracked.
"Denai's in surgery. They've been working on her for hours. You can't—"
"Like hell I can't!" I yelled. Before I could take another step, Ochaco stepped in front of me to stop me. She looked like she was about to burst with emotion.
"You're bleeding," she whispered, pointing to my side. I glanced down—blood seeped through my gown where I'd torn the stitches.
"So what?" I tried shoving past her, but she wouldn't move.
"Why are you trying so hard for her?" She asked through sobs. I knew what this was about. I didn't have time for it right now.
"Because she's the only person I've ever truly loved!" I shouted, and everyone froze. Even the nurses in the hallway stopped rushing toward us for a second. Ochaco's face crumpled like paper, and Deku's grip loosened just enough—just long enough—for me to rip free.
I went to the front desk in the lobby. The nurses looked at me with concern, and one of them asked me to return to my room.
