Because of Mina's friendly and supportive words, Bridgette was able to get over her turbulent homelife...

Teenage life came and the girls remained best friends...

Mina's relationship with her parents continued to grow and was just as close to them as she always was.

As Mina grew up, she began to resemble her mom more and more, inheriting her features and radiance. She had smooth, silky light brown hair that framed her face. Her light skin exuded a vitality, and her eyes, a mesmerizing blend of ocean blue and green, sparkled with curiosity and determination. Her height was average around 5 '4. Despite her relatively slim stature for her age, Mina carried herself with a bright and determined spirit that hinted at a mature and focused personality. One sunny afternoon, Mina found herself in the kitchen with her dad, engaged in a special project. They were busy baking a birthday cake for her mom, who was still at work. The kitchen was filled with the delightful aroma of vanilla and the sound of laughter as Mina and her dad worked together, blending ingredients and carefully decorating the cake with an assortment of colorful fruits.

Mina: Dad, do you think mom will enjoy the cake?

Mina's dad: Oh, sweetheart...I know she will! We both know she loves fruits on cakes.

Mina's dad: And you got nice baking skills like me so you will definitely surprise her!

Mina: I hope so! I want everything to be nice since it's mom's special day!

After her mom returned home from a day at work, Mina, brimming with excitement, greeted her at the door. Then she gently guided her mom towards the kitchen.

Mina: Mom, keep your eyes closed and don't open them until I say so!

Her mom, intrigued and curious, complied, closing her eyes as Mina led her into the kitchen. The air was filled with a sweet aroma of the freshly baked birthday cake. Mina's dad, already in on the surprise, joined in the moment, ready to share in the joy of unveiling the special treat. Finally, they reached the kitchen where the cake was sitting.

Mina: Okay, mom. You can open your eyes now.

Her mom opened her eyes to the sight of a meticulously crafted birthday cake, adorned with assorted fruits and a flickering candle.

Mina's mom: Oh my god. You both made THIS for me?!

Mina: Yes, we did. Happy birthday, mom. Do you like it?

Mina's mom: Like it? I LOVE it, sweetheart. It looks too pretty for me to eat.

Mina's mom: It looks even better than the ones you would buy from a supermarket.

Mina's dad: We tried our best to make it the way you would like it, and I'm very happy to hear how happy you seem, my dear.

Mina's mom: She hugged them both. You guys are so dear to me. Especially you, Mina.

Mina's mom: You're the best daughter anyone can have.

Mina: Thanks, mom. We should start digging in. You should have the first bite, mom.

After spending some minutes setting the table with a checkered kitchen cloth and shiny silverware utensils and plates, Mina and her dad sang a happy birthday song for her mom.

Mina: Time to blow the candles!

Eager to share in the delight, her mom took a bite of her slice of the cake. With a fork in hand, she carefully lifted a bite to her mouth.

Mina's mom: Mina, this is marvelous! The fact that this is chocolate cake on the inside makes it better!

Mina's mom: I love the strawberries inside of it as well! The fruits look even prettier up close and it's the right amount of sweetness I'd expect.
