Seizing the opportunity to lighten the moment, Hunter, ever the curious and teasing gentleman, picked up the books that Mina had dropped. A slight smirk played on his lips as he examined the titles, clearly enjoying the chance to playfully tease her about her choice of reading material. Mina, her embarrassment lingering, couldn't help but blush even more as Hunter's playful expression added a touch of flirtation to the encounter. With a twinkle in his eyes, he handed the books back to Mina, his charismatic charm intact.
Hunter: Purchasing books here about fashion and beauty, huh?
Hunter: Quite the connoisseur, I see. I also applied for a major in fashion...
Mina: Oh, that must be...nice, I guess.
Mina: She blushed. I–umm...I need to go. My next class is starting in 10 minutes...
Mina: Now if you'll excuse me.
In an attempt to maintain composure and feign disinterest, she did what her mind told her to do. Unlike other girls who eagerly sought his attention, Mina opted for a more aloof approach. Without waiting for a response, she started walking away, each step a deliberate effort to project an air of nonchalance. Hunter, left behind and seemingly intrigued by Mina's sudden departure, watched as she slowly walked past him without saying anything else. The lingering gaze he directed at her suggested a curiosity sparked by her reserved demeanor. Something different from the usual attention he received.
Hunter: He thought to himself. Wow. She's the first girl who didn't go GAGA over me.
Hunter: On the inside. This makes me really wanna know about her.
Hunter: On the inside. There's something more than what I see on the surface.
As Mina distanced herself from Hunter, she was keenly aware of the internal struggle growing inside of her. The reminder to not fall for his charms echoed in her mind, a conscious effort to maintain perspective on their respective positions within the university. Mina recognized the allure of Marcel's charismatic demeanor, and she was determined not to become ensnared in the same way other girls had. Walking through the heart of the university, Mina forced herself to recall the boundaries that should exist between them. She sternly reminded herself of the pitfalls she witnessed in the form of other girls who had succumbed to Hunter's smooth-talking words, ultimately finding themselves vying for his attention and interrupting his breaks.
Mina: She said to herself. Don't look at him directly in his eyes, Mina. Or else you will be dangerously hypnotized by them.
Mina: On the inside. You must remember. Studies come first, love interests come last.
Mina: On the inside. And don't fall for a "heartbreaker" like him.
Hunter: He looked over to her again. She sounds like a challenge, but it's a challenge I refuse to back down from.
Hunter: On the inside. I have a thing for humble, shy girls showing their tough side to guys like me.
Hunter: On the inside. Oooh, better be prepared. Prince Charming is ready to make the little cutie his.
Mina, resolute in her decision not to become just another admirer captivated by his charm, held firm in her determination. She understood the importance of maintaining her own identity and not allowing the charismatic presence of the Heartbreaker Prince to cloud her judgment. As she explored through the university's corridors, Mina resisted the temptation to look back, keeping her gaze forward and her heart guarded.
However, as anyone would know, Hunter isn't the type to give up easily.
It was the first time he found himself chasing someone in a long while.
