Warm and Fuzzy Feelings

Dear diary, I really am starting to warm up to this place. I mean I have only been here for a few days, but I've already started to experience... feelings. Strange ones.

Everyone thinks of Jax as a prankster prickhead, and he sure is... to the others. After my first day he never really bothered me, almost as if he respected me.

These feelings are mild but passionate and I think its.... him. He just makes me happier when he's around and he's around a lot.. as if he is attracted to me.

Maybe it's me and I'm attracted to him. Either way I can't get him out of my head.
He also calls me... cutie... a lot. I find I get warm around him, a sense of security... I like it. Goodnight ♡

Y/N's pov

Today Caine gave us an... interesting adventure. It was cops and robbers, rules were there were 2 cops, the rest were robbers and we would run around the tent.

Robbers run from cops and cops catch robbers. Once you were caught, you were sent to jail and your fellow robbers could break you out. Caine would spin the wheel to see who would be the cops.

The wheel was spun and it landed on Ragatha and Zooble. Once the cop roles were established, the robbers got a ten second head start.

The moment Caine declared that we could go, I felt someone grab my wrist and sprint away with me in tow. Once we reached a stop I glanced to see who it was and I immediately turned super red and my face felt warm.... it was JAX!?

Jax had a shify grin on his face and said softly "Sup tomato-face. Surprised to see me?" I immediately got even more flustered and wanted to scold and scream at him but I knew that would only attract attention to us.

I soon calmed down and took a moment to look where he led us. I look around and see that we're in a pillow fort that me, Jax, and Kinger had built earlier, though Kinger had basicly claimed it for his own and called it his "impenetrable fortress".

I look to my right and I saw a body pillow with a picture of...Queenie? At the sight of this I slightly giggled and so did Jax.

Suddenly I saw Jax grab a marker out of his prisoner jumpsuit's pocket and proceeded to draw x's over Queenie's eyes and made her tongue stick out, as if she was dead. This made sense, seeing as Queenie had abstracted.

I just sigh and roll my eyes as I try to hold back a smirk. Me and Jax start talking and eventually get lost in conversation, when suddenly we were struck by a flashlight.

"Am I interrupting something?" We look up to see Ragatha who had removed our top pillow and was shining her flashlight down on us. "Off to jail with you two. Maybe you guys can continue these "festivities" there!"

We both suddenly appear in a caged jail room together with gangle. I could tell Jax was not pleased. He had a grumpy expression and his arms were begrudgingly crossed.

My mood isn't much different but our faces soon changed as we saw Kinger running towards the jail room and he unlocked the door.

As we all slipped out through the open door i thanked Kinger and ran off. Gangle went with Kinger and I ran the opposite direction with Jax tailing behind.

Me and Jax stopped to catch our breath and both glared at eachother. "What now cutie? Were both out in the open and we have nowhere to hide!" He said in his signature snarky tone but a little softer as to not draw attention.

I said nothing but thought for a moment. When I looked up I could see a wooden support structure that was holding up the tent. I knew I had some exceptional gymnastic skills and some good jump force.

After thinking for a bit I snatched Jax's hand and jump about 20 feet in the air. I grab on to the wooden beam still holding on to his hand firmly and hoist both of us up. As i look down I can't see the checkered floor because of how dark the room was.

I look over to Jax and notice his expression, he looked like a deer in headlights and not a word came out of his mouth. His eyes stayed locked on me for a while.

Jax pov

She grabbed my hand and jumped crazy high on to this beam. Wow I did not know this side of her, like since WHEN!?

I felt my face and it was very warm and red. Once I snapped out of this trance of amazement, I realized I had been staring at her for a long time.... an uncomfortably long time... at least for her. I looked away in embarrassment but tried to hide it.

"Sorry about that. I kinda panicked and did the only thing I could think of." She said in her soft voice. Everytime she talks it makes me happy and everything about her voice hit me starstruck.

After a few minutes of silently sitting on the beam the lights suddenly flickered on and Caine announced that the game was over and the robbers had won! Me and Y/N jumped down and walked with everyone else.
