im not going to fucking make it, mahi'ai thought as he leaned carefully in front of the patio door. smoking with the three had proved to be much harder than smoking with nina, and though his friend could, the boy could not keep up as easily as the rest of them. in fact, he was much farther from sobriety than any of them could comprehend as he silently eyed the last blunt on the rolling trey he knew he'd vomit out if he touched. it had mostly gone quiet after the teens decided to focus on the activity they had engaged in, leaving mahi'ai's thoughts wandering and fluttering as he tried hard to engage himself in the little game he played on his phone, trying to look anywhere but across from him.

"here." slater passed, slightly nudging the fifteen year old's shoulder who barely had the strength in his eyes to look up at it, his conflicted nature swirling in his amber orbs. if he gave up then, then he'd definitely look like what he was- a lightweight, and in front of him- but if he continued he knew would throw up. mahi'ai scratched his neck, simply ignoring the inner doubt that grew in him as he reached for it before he was simply denied access.

"you done." zayn muttered quietly to the boy, instead directing it to nina who simply turned, looking over at the boy whom she had truly forgotten was not used to such a large amount of consumption. mahi'ai met zayn's eyes momentarily, a pang of embarrassment humming in his chest before he was distracted by his best friend who he could feel more than see, turning to her direction with a small, content smile.
"are you okay?" the older questioned, smoothing the boy's curls who nodded with a telling smile that made cam chuckle as he seemed to discard words, prompting himself to instead lean on the girls shoulders, his lashes fluttering in content.
"yea." he whispered, nodding his head. "i just wan ta get water."
"c'mon." slater prompted suddenly to the fifteen year old who barely comprehended his words instead only hearing an order that he unsuspectingly followed, following behind the taller who held the door for him.

mahi'ai cringed lightly at the discomfort the bright light of the kitchen bought him in contrast to outside, rubbing his eyes slowly as the older boy trailed the smaller who he could clearly tell was no longer on the same plane as he resorted to simply wandering around the kitchen with no actual intent of grabbing water. the russian stared down at the boy as he walked over to the fridge, grabbing a bottle of water out of it and handing it to him with a smile.

"that's good?" slater chuckled, glancing down at the younger who ravaged the water thirstily, oblivious to the water crawling down his gouging throat and chin as he attacked the bottle. the hawaiian smiled, a bit embarrassed as he nodded before he swallowed the cold liquid that did wonders for his dry throat as he silently questioned the older, his amber eyes scanning the rather handsome boy from head to toe he had never taken explicit notice of. sure, he was beautiful- gorgeous, even. the complexion of his taupe skin presented an unflawed beauty that was only further intensified by his narrowed, watching eyes; one blue, one green. he seemed to wear a sort of hynoptism about the constant tease he proposed in his pierced, prompted lips and sunken eyes that reminded mahi'ai of a chesire cat. they were mischevious, naturally, and clear in their conniving. his short, buzzed curls emphasized the rich structure of his his flawless presentation of his poreless skin positioned by his strong jawbones and bottomless pits he called eyes. even so, there was more danger in those god-created features than beauty, because while mahi'ai was somewhat new to the world of judging one's character anybody could tell the type of beauty he had was threatening, and explosive in it's seemingly friendly approach that masked every one of his afflictions with a crooked smile. the boy was scary pretty, the type you stay away from though that was something the boy next to him already knew.
