My Hero (Superhero Eren x Reader)

CHAPTER 5

I woke up to the sun shining at my face through the window. I covered my eyes with the back of my hand and groaned. I should buy some curtains, it's really bothering me. After my argument with Eren, the Survey Corps gave me my own room. I sat up and pulled the covers off me. Today is my first mission, I'm so excited! I wonder what I will do. I got off my bed and went to the bathroom to brush my teeth. after doing so, I went to my closet to change into my uniform. I couldn't help but grin when I finished putting on my uniform.

As soon as I came out of my closet, there was a knock on my door. "Captain Levi said come in the lobby room once you are done getting dressed." "Okay!" I shouted to the person at the door. I heard the person's footsteps walk off as I was grabbing anything that I think I would need for the mission.

I left my room and headed to the lobby. I saw many people pass by me that had the same uniform on, but different shirts. Many people nodded at me as of saying hello.

I made it to the lobby room and saw Levi, Eren, and Mikasa. Mikasa.... Wait! Mikasa is in the Survey Corps too. Who is it going to be next, Annie!

"Alright, gather around, we need to discuss our mission" Levi said as everyone gathered around him. "As you know, we recruited a new member." Levi nodded at me and said, "(Y/N). Welcome to your first mission." I nodded back at him.

"Mikasa and I will go to central city. There is suppose to be a terrorist attack is what Hanji had predicted, so we will keep our eye in the city."

Levi turned his attention to me. "(Y/N). Your first will be to help people around, like if a lady doesn't know a location you will have to guide her to the place she is trying to get without being noticed. Eren will keep a watch over you to make your doing something right." Levi said.

What... I thought I was going to be like Batman and do stuff like jumping off building and stopping a thief, but no. I get a simple mission like helping a lady get to her destination. Don't be selfish (Y/N). Those people still need help.

"That sounds fine." You said when really you wanted to yell no and tell him to give you a harder mission, but he was captain and you had to follow his orders.

"Alright, now we have that settled, let's head out. Mikasa and Levi headed out and left Eren and I standing there.

"Let's go (Y/N)!" Eren said acting like a leader. You nodded your head at him. "Right!" As Eren and I headed off I started think of myself saving people, fighting bad guys, helping the government without them knowing me.

You lost concentration on what you were doing and bumped into Eren. "Watch where you're going." Eren's personality has changed ever since I joined the Survey Corps. What happened to the Eren I used to know?

"Ok. Geez." I said while making a face. Eren shook his head. "Whatever." Eren spoke again, "You see that cat right there in front of me stuck in a tree." I looked in front of him and saw the cat. "Yeah. What about it." I said. He looked at me like I was stupid. "Are you just going to sit here or are you going to get it out of the tree."

Wow, what a jerk. I walked towards the tree and grabbed one of the strongest branch and tried to climb up. Once I was near enough to the cat, the cat started to hiss and claw at me.

"Ow! Oww! Stop scratching me you stupid cat. You should be happy that I'm trying to help you!" I yelled. The cat continued to hiss, but stopped clawing at me.

I got down with no problem, but I still had marks on me. Nobody was around, so that was good. I looked up at Eren and gave him a thumbs up. I walked towards Eren with the cat on my arms and held the cat up to his face "What should we do with the cat?"

He looked at me. "You're the hero. Every hero decides for themselves." I groaned in frustration "Well I don't know what to do." Eren sighed. "(Y/N), if you want to be a hero you have to act like one. Don't just sit here and tell me that you don't know what to do when you actually do. Cause all I'm going to say is use common sense like most people tend to do."

I sighed and cradled the cat. "I think we should put it up for adoption" Eren smiled at me. "Ok. Go look for a pet adoption center and make sure you get their attention without them seeing you." He says. "Like Batman?" I said. "Like Batman." Eren stated.

I nodded and left to search for an adoption center. The cat won't stop squirming in my arms and it's starting to annoy me.

I finally found an adoption center after 15 minutes of searching for one. I saw people walk the streets and quickly went behind the adoption center. There was a back door. I quietly went towards the door and carefully twisted the door knob.

I opened it with no problem. Do people even lock back doors anymore. Ok, they do, but I guess these people don't. I quietly went inside and hoped the cat wouldn't meow. I can't fail this mission, I've made it this far and I'm not going back. Now how am I supposed to get their attention without anyone noticing me?

Nobody around so I guess I should leave the cat out in the opening where the customers and employees are, but I know that there are animals close by and I don't want them to notice me and if they do notice me they will start making noise and that will catch the employer's attention.

Why is this so frustrating? Maybe I should just leave the cat here, or maybe I should disguise myself so that nobody would notice me. I would disguise myself, but I don't have any clothes with me. When I get back to the headquarters I'll make a persona of myself just incase I need to disguise myself in any situation.

I left the cat out in the opening where someone would notice the cat. After that I quietly left and looked through the window and saw that someone had picked up the cat and put it inside a cage. The cat was hissing and clawing at the employe, but the employe was lucky enough to get the cat inside the cage.

I quickly went back to the location that Eren was waiting for me at. "I did it!" I said to myself while fist pumping the air. "Good job on your first mission (Y/N)." Eren congratulated. "Thanks."

"You ready to go back now?" He asked. "Yeah." I responded. We started to head back to the headquarters in no time.

Once we arrived at the headquarters we were greeted by Erwin and Hanji. "Welcome back (Y/N), Eren." Erwin said. Eren nodded at him and I said, "Nice to see you again Erwin."

Hanji came up to me and spoke pretty loud. "Hey (Y/N)! How did you like the mission!" I backed away a little and replied, " It was a little bit too easy and I know you can give me a better mission. "I know I sounded cocky, but hey it was pretty easy.

"Well for your next mission you can be my test subject on a new project I'm working on." Hanji said in a very creepy way. "Um... I'm not sure about that Hanji." I said backing away. Eren put a hand on my shoulder. "Leave her alone Hanji. Let her rest for today." Eren said. I nodded "Yeah, I'm pretty tired, so I'm gonna go to my room now." I gave Hanji an apologetic smile and turned to leave.

Erwin stopped me in my tracks and said, " Keep up the good work (Y/N). Captain Levi will tell you your next mission in 2 days, so be prepared. It might be a harder one this time." I nodded and proceeded to my bedroom feeling successful.

Once I made it to my bedroom I went to take a shower before I got in bed. After I was done with that I put on my pajamas, got in bed, and went to sleep.
