CHAPTER 3 - BIG MISTAKE

The more I talked to people, the more Aaron kept scaring them away, it's like he wanted me to be isolated and keep me for himself, every time I try to tell him how uncomfortable I felt with his behavior, he always makes excuses to keep me and continue this behavior he's making, I started to get a lot more pissed but I was scared to break up with him.

One time this guy was helping me out with homework and he literally slapped him and yelled at him to get away from me, Aaron even scolded me for not asking him for help, and I'm worried if I broke up with him, he might hurt more people so right now I'm trying to talk to someone in private or just not talk to anyone at all which is so hard when his eyes are always on me.

I just came to the rooftop while holding a book because Aaron was absent today, so I finally got some peace and quiet, then someone spoke to me out of nowhere, "Um hello? This is my spot, get out." In a cold tone, I looked up to see that short guy I held back during that fight.

"Ok, you don't need to be rude, and I don't see your name on this rooftop so clearly this isn't your spot." I said politely, the guy seemed pissed and didn't say another word, I read my book in front of the railing and enjoyed reading while he looked annoyed and awkward as I saw, "Ok, first of all, what do you want Blondie?" Xiao asked, "I don't want anything from you, my name is also Aether thank you very much." I replied, he just glared at me but I didn't care, he was being a jerk. Just as I was reading my book, I smelt smoke, I turned to Xiao and caught him smoking a cigarette, I started coughing a lot and my chest was almost tightened, Xiao's eyes widened and immediately rushed towards me, I started tearing up as I felt the pain of not being able to breathe, I started blacking out and the least thing I saw was Xiao.

I woke up and saw a blue sky, I felt something kinda hard, I got up to see a leg, i looked up to see it was Xiao, wait, did I just sleep on his leg? My eyes widened and I got so embarrassed that I looked away, Xiao got relieved I was awake, and hugged me? That didn't sound very Xiao like, Xiao cried out, "Thank goodness, you're ok, I'm so sorry, I didn't know you'd react like that." He apologized, I forgave him and told him not to smoke, "Oh, um... sorry, I didn't mean to hug you." He said, I smiled and chuckled, "It's fine, I liked it anyway." I replied, Xiao's ears turned red and turned away.

"You know, you seem kinda interesting, wanna get ti know each other while class is still going on?" Xiao asked, "WAIT, CLASS WAS ALREADY STARTING?" I yelled, "Relax-" but I cut him off and immediately ran but Xiao pulled my hand, "Relax, not like they're gonna know-"

"You boys are gonna have afterschool detention for skipping class" the teacher said as she was speaking to both of them in the office.

In the detention room, it was just the 2 of them, it sucked but they had no choice, Aether couldn't even look at Xiao because he really needed to get to class, if it wasn't for Xiao convincing him...

"Come on, it's not a big deal, it's only 1 detention, I've had worse." Xiao said trying to make Aether feel better, "Xiao, don't even talk to me." Aether said, Xiao sighed, "Look Blondie, im sorry for making you skip, I should've let you go when u had the chance." Xiao apologized but not very sincerely, but Aether didn't buy it, some minutes later they both started to feel very sleepy and fell asleep on their desks.

Hours later, Aether started opening his eyes and wondered why the room became so dark, he looked at his phone just to realize it was 12AM.
