It's been 3 years since Aether and Xiao dated, they both started their own careers, they always support each other no matter what..

Xiao said, he was covering his arms, Aether found it super strange and Xiao was really bad at lying, he pulled Xiao's arm which shocked him and rolled up his sleeve...

He saw cuts on his arms, multiple scars, they were bleeding out still, it completely shocked Aether, "XIAO... WHAT THE HELL? DID YOU-" "A-Aether... I'm so sorry, I was so stressed, I had terrible anxiety and-" Aether cut him off, "Xiao, stop, I'm gonna bandage you up but we're gonna talk about this."
Aether went to get bandages from the bathroom, he was so scared that Xiao would do something like that, he understood Xiao's stress but he didn't think it would become worse...
Aether came back and wash the scars real quick to make it stop bleeding eternally, Xiao cried out in pain every time he felt the wet cloth, "Stay still." Aether said as he was pissed, Xiao felt really bad and regretted his decision..
He wrapped the bandage around his arm, and as he was done, they both decided to talk...
"Love, what happened?" "I don't know, my boss sometimes pressures me and the pressure gets worse everyday, I do exactly what he wants but it's never enough for him, I wanna quit but for the sake of the money." Xiao explained, Aether hugged him,
"I'm sorry that your boss has been mistreating you, but if you're feeling stressed, please tell me, I'm here for you, and in the past, you've done so much for me, you saved me from a hellhole I was going through, now let me return the favor."
Aether said, for the first time in years, Xiao started tearing up in front of someone, he hugged Aether and started crying,
"I'm sorry... I'm such an idiot, I don't know what decisions I've made, you've been there for me left and right and all I did was just ruin everything." Xiao said, Aether's eyes widened, he hugged his boyfriend back and shushed him
Also no, Xiao didn't quit, he wants to but can't because of a contract he signed at his job
Anyways, fast forward to after the end of Xiao's contract
They celebrated for his contract ending at his sh*tty workplace, they celebrated by going to a restaurant, a pretty cute one, as they were eating and enjoying their meal, a familiar figure approached them...
"Hey Aether."
"AARON?! What are you doing here and aren't you supposed to be in jail?" Aether asked, "My sentence was low but I changed, I learned that I'm not gonna try everything I want and do something and get away with it." Aaron explained himself, "Good for you Aaron." "And I was thinking we could start over." Xiao was watching the scene, he was looking super pissed but Aether stood up for himself, he's not afraid anymore, "Are you kidding me?! You're seriously asking? I moved on from you a long time ago, you also cheated on me anyway." Aether said, "That was a long time ago, doesnt people usually say the 'past is the past'?" "You're right, the past is the past, because I moved on from you, I have a new lover and I don' care about our times anymore, you're at fault for ruining everything to begin with and seek therapy." Aether said, he sat back down and didn't feel sorry
Aaron on the other hand was shocked, he was a bit mad but he realized that he's been insane and does need to seek therapy, he left the restaurant and was never seen by Aether again.
After that, Xiao and Aether decided to go a lake, the lake was extremely pretty, there were a lot of decorations around
Aether though, was confused on what's going on even though he was in love with the scenery,
"So love, why are we here?" Aether asked, Xiao grabbed Aether's hands
"Aether, you've always been there for me, thick and thin, good and bad times, arguments, moments we had and the chaos that happened in the past, you're like a guy anyone could ask for, there's more I wanna say but I don't know how I would finish the sentence because of how amazing you truly are and for that, I've been wanted to do this for so long."
Xiao bent down and pulled out a box from his pocket which revealed a ring
Aether was in shock, "Aether... will you marry me?" "Yes... a million times." They both started tearing up, hugged each other and lastly...
Shared a passionate kiss.
And lived happily.
