"Fucking hell." Yunho groaned when his throbbing head pulled him from his deep slumber.

He rolled onto his back and threw his right arm over his eyes as he tried to recall the night before...

It was a little fuzzy, but he sort of remembered going to a new bar that had recently opened, one of his favorite hobbies, to check out the crowd.

There had been good music, excellent food and drink, and the atmosphere had been fun too. He'd definitely want to visit there again.

Plus, there were plenty of cute guys to choose from.

A smile tugged at the corner of Yunho's lips as the memory of who he'd been with most of the night started to reappear in his mind's eye.

Cute, sexy, obviously looking for a good time, most likely from out of town.

Just how Yunho liked it.

No commitments. No getting attached.

He was pleasantly surprised when he stretched his left arm out to find the other side of the bed empty. Normally his hookups liked to try and convince him to spend the day together, which he always got out of with one excuse or another, so it was nice that he didn't have to do that this time.

Now all he had to do was focus on nursing his hangover.

That also meant he had to figure out what hotel he ended up at and how he was going to get home...

It took him another thirty minutes before he managed to push himself out of bed and stumble into the bathroom.

The brisk, cold shower helped sober him up enough that he was able to find his clothes, phone, and wallet without any issue.

As he dressed, he noticed a note on the bedside table next to a glass of water. Without even fully reading it, he crumpled it up once he noticed 'paid' and the phone number scribbled at the bottom and threw it away.

He didn't need it.

He didn't need anyone.

This life was what he wanted, and he had it so easy.

Working from home as an on-call IT specialist for a big company during the day, drinking and partying at night.

It was perfect in every way.

Yunho chewed on the corner of his lip as he pulled out his phone and hurried down the stairs instead of waiting for the elevator.

One quick look at his maps app told him he was almost an hour away from home.

He switched over to text his friend, asking for a ride and sent his current location right as he stepped outside.

The area was more upscale than he was used to. Trees and flowers decorated the sides of the streets, and everything looked shiny and clean.

Yunho gave one impressed hum, then zeroed in on a little café tucked behind several large, potted plants. They were admittedly very pretty and gave the front of the café a very cute, welcoming vibe.

Knowing he needed to try and eat something, he decided to go inside and see what they had.

"Welcome!" A woman with silky black hair pulled back in a bun called from behind a large glass counter holding pastries and other treats that filled the air with mouthwatering aromas. "How can I help you?"

"Um, I'm not sure." Yunho scrunched his nose and walked up to her.

"First time in?" Her kind smile crinkled her eyes as she leaned on the counter.
