Michelle's POV

I'm currently en route to the MUPH headquarters when I spot the winner of Miss Universe Thailand, Anntonia Porsild. I had a hunch she would clinch the crown, and there it is—she won! I can't wait to chat with her at the Miss Universe pageant.

I'm also considering posting a comment on her Instagram post.

'I can't wait to meet you at Miss Universe!' I typed.

Should I post this in the comment section or not?

"Send it, wifey!"

I was astonished when I heard Rhian's voice. I am with Rhian; she's going to her taping, so we decided to go together. She teasingly looked at me, and I could tell she's going to playfully ship me with this one.

"I know, Deedee, you like her. I've noticed you looking at her photos these past few days. Don't try to fool me! I know you!" She started laughing as she said those words.

As far as I know, I am simply captivated by Anntonia's beauty, and I don't think I have any romantic feelings for her. However, as time goes by, I find myself unconsciously stalking her and trying to get to know her. It's like, during my free time, I automatically go to my Instagram to check if she has posted anything.

"Well, she's also strong; that's why I'm admiring her," I told Rhian.

Rhian rolled her eyes, and I burst into laughter.

"You're in denial, wifey; just post it in the comments," she said and went back to her phone.

Maybe I was too captivated by Anntonia. With a background in Miss Supra, we already share similarities.

I quickly opened my phone and posted the comment on her post, hoping that she and I will get along. I can't wait to have a conversation with her about various things.

Fast forward...

We're having a night event here in El Salvador where all the candidates are present. I've already greeted some of the candidates and had a few interviews with the media people.

My attention was captivated when I saw Anntonia. Seeing her in that Swarovski silver gown, with that figure, made me gulp unexpectedly. Even though I could only see her from the back, I could hear what they were talking about.

When I noticed she was struggling with questions about our interaction, answering with hesitation and seeming unsure of how to elaborate, and the Latin interviewer pushing her to respond, I knew I had to do something.

"Are you sure? It seems to me like you're distancing from her. And even in group photos, I haven't seen the two of you together." He asked her.

I don't know if I should jump in or hold her first; I just don't want to escalate this issue further, as it might generate a lot of attention from different media outlets.

"We're good, right? Miss Thailand?"

As I said those words, I unintentionally placed my hand on her waist. To be honest, I felt a warmth within me when I did that. I noticed it startled Anntonia a bit; her eyes widened. I must say, she looks even more beautiful up close. We've never had a conversation, and perhaps it's because I sense that she doesn't like me at all, or maybe it's part of her strategy?
