Destiny

Ch. 1 - History Lesson

Let's begin the story! The events in this story actually happened on my gameplay of Destiny.

The stars were beautiful in the darkness of space. The galaxy seemed so beautiful, but rather, deadly. A shuttle passed by heading towards the familiar red planet. When the spacecraft finally set down, three astronauts set foot on the planet. It seemed as if these men, or women were on the search for something. Prepared with guns and plenty of air, it was time.

Planet Mars
Present Day

These humans were ready to discover new things to bring back to Earth. As they walked into the red, dusty dunes of Mars, they would look back at each other to make sure everyone was okay. It seemed like minutes or even hours have passed since they left their shuttle. As the approached a large mountain, they began to climb. Once they made it to the top, they found something magnificent. A giant white orb like sphere. It was amazing and also mysterious. It was beginning to rain and the three astronauts were still stunned at the sight of the miraculous object.

"We called it the Traveler." the Speaker began to speak. "And its arrival changed us forever. Great cities were built on Mars and Venus. Mercury became a garden world. Human lifespan tripled. It was a time of miracles. We stared out into the galaxy and knew that it was our destiny to walk into the light of other stars. But, the Traveler had an enemy. A darkness which had hunted it for eons across the black gulfs of space. Centuries after our Golden Age, this darkness found us. And that was the end of everything." It seemed that everything was lost when the evil forces took it all. "But it was also a beginning." he finished.

Was there another hope? A new chance to fight back the darkness taking our planets away from us? I guess we'll find out...
