*GRACE'S POV*
I awoke the next morning to the sounds of birds chirping and the sun peeking through the curtain. I breathed in and lifted my head from Zayn's bare chest, smiling down at his peaceful face.
Before I got out of the bed, I kissed his cheek softly. I grabbed my bra and underwear from the floor and put them on, walking over to Zayn's dresser and pulling out his Nirvana tshirt. I threw it over my head and it landed just mid-thigh.
I glaned over at the clock. 8:14 am. I sighed. No one would be up, I thought to myself.
Walking down the stairs, I noticed how massive the flat was. I made my way to the kitchen, flipping on the light switch. I jumped, "Oh, shit! You scared me." I said, putting my hand over my heart that was beating so fast.
"I'm sorry!" Harry said, turning around to face me. He eyed me up and down, slowly biting his lip then he cleared his throat. "You're up early." He said, turning back to the refrigerator and put the milk carton back in.
"Uh, yeah. I couldn't sleep." I said, walking over and grabbing me a glass, filling it with water.
"What happened to your face?" Harry asked me as he studied the bruise near my eye.
I touched the spot then looked at him, "Oh, uh, well...when you and Zayn were fighting, I tried to break it up, which was a really bad idea..." I trailed off.
He just nodded, understanding where I was coming from.
He sighed, "Look, Grace. I'm sorry, okay? I shouldn't have said that. It wasn't true. I guess I was jealous and it didn't help that I had alcohol-"
"Hey, hey," I whispered, putting my hands on his cheek to calm him down, "It's fine. I forgive you. Don't worry about it, okay?" I said, giving him a small smile as I looked into his green eyes.
He smiled, "Okay."
The longer I looked into his eyes, the more I was admiring how beautiful they were.
Just then, someone cleared their throat, catching me by surprised and causing me to jump. I dropped my hands, "Oh...good morning, Zayn." I said with a smile.
His eyes were boring at Harry and I. As I realized how close we were to each other, I scooted over.
"Morning." Zayn said coldly, pecking me on the lips.
Zayn walked in between us, his shoulder hitting Harry's slightly. Zayn opened the cabinet, grabbing a cup from the cupboard. Harry rolled his eyes and walked way, back to his room.
I glared at Zayn, "Okay, what the hell was that?" I asked him.
He chuckled, "Me? What the hell was that between you and Harry?" You could tell by the sound of his voice he was angry. "You're barely wearing anything and I saw the look on his face..."
"Are you serious right now? All that was was just a sincere apology from him about last night." I answered truthfully. "AND I didn't think anyone would be up so I just threw this on."
"Right." He snapped back, not even looking at me.
I rolled my eyes and huffed, storming off into the living room. I plopped onto the couch, yawning.
I felt the couch dip but I paid no attention to it, knowing Zayn was right beside me. I just stared at the television, which was playing an episode of Spongebob.
"I'm sorry, Grace." Zayn said, putting his hand on my knee. I didn't look at him. "I'm just a little...protective. And jealousy gets the best of me."
