The Curse of The Black Cat Part 3: The Truth and Reunion

It's been 4 months since Adrien was taken in by Marinette. They would communicate through his telepathic line with her. She would tell him about her troubles, they cuddled when she was sad, and they would play games together. Marinette felt like she knew her silly Chaton.

As if he has been in her life before.

Soon she would find out why she felt like this.

It was a Saturday and Marinette was brushing Adrien's black fur. He smiled and purred when she brushed his hair. That caused her to smile as well, that week had been hectic. Lila ran against Marinette for class representative and won!

Marinette was pushed to the back of the classroom.

She was beat up by Lila who then lied that it was the other way around.

Marinette was looked down upon by everyone in school including the teachers. The only people who believed her were; Tikki, Plagg, her parents, and Adrien.

Adrien looked at Marinette when she stopped brushing his fur. 'Everything alright?' he asked, placing his paw on her chest.

"No Chaton, nothing is alright." Marinette said honestly, and then the damn broke. She started crying so hard.

It broke Adrien's heart.

'Aww dear princess, I wish I could hug you.' He said, Marinette recognized that nickname. "Princess?"

She then examined the cat and saw similarities to her crush.

"A-Adrien?"

He nodded, she then lifted him up and hugged him.

This caught the cat off guard. But when he felt her smile against his fur, he knew she was happy.

"I've found you. Finally, I was so worried about you." She said, then she pulled back.

"But what happened? How are you a cat? How do we save you?"

Her questions came at him all at once, where he licked her cheek to calm her down. 'Calm down Princess, I'll tell you.' Adrien said, then he explained what happened when he was a small child and how Dussu put the curse on him.

By the end of his explanation Marinette was crying.

"Aww Adrien, Chaton, I'm so sorry that happened to you." She cuddled him close, and he felt her tears hit his fur. 'It's ok Princess,' he said, but Marinette was still worried about him.

Plagg walked with Tikki towards the Bakery, he was glad that Marinette found his brother and took him in, but what needed to happen know is that Marinette needed to prove that she loved him whether he was a cat or a human.

Tikki noticed that her boyfriend was deep in thought.

"Is everything alright love?" She asked squeezing his hand gently, "No it's not alright Sugar Cube." he said, "I'm worried about my brother."

Tikki nodded, "I know love, but I'm glad that my cousin found him. But why are you worried?"

"It's about the reactions of my family when they reunite with him." Plagg stated, Tikki understood and stopped before hugging Plagg. "I'm sure they will be happy to see him." She said, then they continued walking not knowing what would happen in Marinette's room.

Marinette laid on her bed with Adrien in her arms. "Chaton, I'm so glad I found you when I did. You're my only friend now." Marinette said as she held Adrien. 'I'm glad.' He said,

'And I'm so happy to have met you as well princess, I want to tell you just how special you are to me.' He thought where she couldn't hear him, 'I want you to know just how amazing, loving, and caring you are towards me and others, you put yourself before everyone else and I admire that about you.' He continued with his thought, then he placed his right paw on her cheek and licked her nose.

She laughed. It was such a beautiful laugh that Adrien wanted to protect.

"Chat! You dork!" She said between laughs,

'I never ever wanted to see you sad. Not even when I was human, and we went to school together. All I want is to make you happy and feel loved and appreciated.' As that thought crossed his mind, he felt Marinette put a gentle kiss on his nose. Then he felt all her love for him flow through and the bell around his neck rang, he heard her thoughts of how much she loved him and wanted to be with him. He even heard that she didn't care if he was cat or human; she loved him.

Adrien felt his body changing.

'I want to tell you in person.' He thought, 'As my true self,' Then in a puff of green smoke the little kitten Adrien was replaced by the real Adrien.

The real human Adrien.

Since he got bigger due to now being human instead of having her lips on his nose, the two had their lips locked. Shocking them both and causing them both to blush a deep crimson red.

'That I love you.' His thoughts were concluded when they parted and seeing Adrien back to his normal self-caused Marinette to smile. Tears escaped her eyes as she pulled Adrien into a big hug. "You're back." She muttered into his shoulder, Adrien hugged her back and smiled. "Yeah, and that's all thanks to you Princess." He said, they held each other close.

Both were happy to finally be together again.

Adrien was free from his curse.

All thanks to Marinette.

As they held their hug the trapdoor to Marinette's room opened and in came Tikki and Plagg.

The moment Plagg saw Adrien: Back in human form, the tears filled his green eyes. His brother was back.

Adrien got off Marinette and smiled at his brother.

He got up and wrapped Plagg in a brotherly hug. "Hey Plagg," Said Adrien, "Hey bro." Responded Plagg as he hugged Adrien back.

Marinette and Tikki smiled at the reunion of the two brothers after years apart due to the curse.

A couple weeks later Adrien, Marinette, Tikki, and Plagg were on a train heading to London. It was time for Adrien to reunite with his parents. He was feeling nervous but having Marinette there beside him gave Adrien a lot of confidence.

After two hours on the train, they were finally in London. Plagg led the group out of the station and towards the apartment building where Emilie and Gabriel were staying with Felix and Amalie.

Once at the door to the apartment Plagg knocked. "Coming!" Came a cheery voice from the inside. Adrien recognized that voice; it was a voice he longed to hear again after years of being a cat. The voice of his mother; Emilie.

When she opened the door, the kids saw her traditional smile. "Plagg, what a surprise! It's so good to see you!" She said happily as she brought her youngest son into a hug. Plagg returned the hug and smiled. "Hi Mom, I've brought a surprise for you." Emilie let go of her son and looked at him a little confused.

"What do you mean?" Then Plagg, Tikki, and Marinette moved out of the way so that Emilie could see Adrien.

The moment the two sets of Emerald eyes met tears gathered in Emilie's eyes. "Adrien?" She asked, needing confirmation that it was her son and that she wasn't seeing things.

"Mom," hearing that response, caused Emilie to run right to Adrien and she wrapped her arms around him hugging him tightly as if she was going to lose him again. "My precious baby boy." She stated, "I'm so glad your safe." Adrien returned the hug as his own tears streamed down his face.

Amalie and Gabriel heard the commotion outside the apartment and came to investigate. When they saw Emilie hugging Adrien, they couldn't hold their happiness and relief that he was finally free from the curse Dussu cast on him.

The reunion went better than Plagg feared. He was glad that his family was excited to see Adrien again after years. They were also very accepting of Marinette dating Adrien. Everything was as it should be, and everyone was full of happiness.
