"This is going to end up being a real disaster."
"That sounds very, very optimistic."
"But it's the truth."
"Why does no one trust my plans?"
"Because all your plans end up putting everyone in danger."
"That's not true" defends the teenager.
"Really? We're here, walking through streets full of zombies because your plan failed."
"Well, you said to set the house on fire."
"A small fire! I said, a small fire! That was not small at all!"
"Okay, yes, maybe I went overboard with the amount of fire. But, in my defense, who would have thought the house would explode like that?"
"Normally, houses don't explode from a small fire."
"But... wasn't it impressive?"
"RULE #4 (Preserve Your Shelter)Under no circumstances use fire as a distraction, especially when it comes to your shelter. The safety of your refuge is paramount, and playing with fire could pose an irreversible risk."
"We ran out of supplies and shelter."
"It's okay, everything is going to be fine, don't blame yourselves for this..."
"We're not blaming ourselves, we're blaming you..."
"Oh."
𝗘𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗙𝗹𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸"You really are a trouble magnet" she laughs.
"I don't know how you could survive with her by your side" Bri remarks.
"So... In conclusion, did you guys split up because of one of Amelia's many plans?" the redhead teases "Why am I not surprised?" she laughs.
"The only thing in your heart is pure evil" she scolds while braiding Britany's hair.
Everyone in the room laughs. The group loved Amelia. She was the one who made them laugh, who cheered them up, who helped with the things they needed to do. In short, Amelia was a great girl, and they appreciated that.
"I'm hungry" Ava complains, sitting down.
"What about the food kits we found at the supermarket?"
"They're gone..."
"So fast?!"
"Blame Mason" she points to her twin.
"Hey, that's not true!"
"Calm down, we can go to the supermarket where Amelia went to get more supplies."
Everyone started discussing how they could all enter without attracting attention.
Jade also participated and told them how the events unfolded, at least until she noticed the brunette outside the conversation, looking at her hands. Silent... She never stayed silent...
"Amelia... Are you there?"
"Physically, yes. Mentally is debatable" she whispers without taking her eyes off her hands, still lost in her thoughts.
"And now, what's going on with this girl?" Liam questions.
"She found her mother turned into a zombie when we were leaving there..."
