~Dear Diary,~
~I don't know what's going on with Mckayla! She wouldn't even talk to me! I even tried going over to her house, and even that was super awkward! Not to mention that I had to deal with Mr. Queens! Dude totally doesn't like me! ~
~At least Mrs. Queens is nice, although she kind of creeps me out with how calm and collected she seems to be all the time. It's really freaky...~
~Ugh, write in you later, diary.~

I saw Mckayla from across the school hallways as passing period was starting, she totally ignored me when I waved at her, I assumed that she didn't see me or was busy with stuff.
And I kept thinking that until Lunchtime. When I was sitting at the table, eating, Mckayla was staring at me like I did something or whatever.
"Are you okay, Mckayla?"
"Huh? Oh, yeah, I'm fine. I didn't sleep well, that's all." Mckayla shrugged and brushed out her hair and for a brief moment, I could see her chocker, although I didn't recall her wearing those often.
"Aw, that sucks. I hope you sleep well this night." I smiled and Mckayla groaned and nod her head. "Yeah, yeah..."
Mckayla acting grumpy isn't something that's out of the normal but with how much fun she had yesterday, it was like a switch flipped in her brain! I would say aliens try to take control of her brain and she fought them off, but there were no signs of bruises on her.
Then again, aliens aren't even remotely real, so that's a second thing. Mckayla kept acting strange, especially during math class. I was quietly waiting for Mckayla to pass me a note about, well, anything.
Like, how she's thinking about dying the tips of her hair black or how dumb Mr. Marco sounds while wearing a green sweater-vest! Stuff like that. Instead, all I got was crickets on my end.
Mckayla was chatting with one of her other friends, Roxi about whatever, I guess. Roxi gave me a quick glance before she went back to laughing at something Mckayla said. It was kind of odd, but I focused on the lesson, even if time seems to drag on forever.
At the last hour of the day, Mckayla was still being totally weird! I saw her walking down the hallway with Tracey and Chase, and I waved to her, but all she did was look and kept talking to Tracey and Chase!
It's like I didn't even exist! Mckayla was my best friend! Why would she ignore me? Did I do something wrong? What's happening? This isn't fair, one bit!
As I walked back home and entered the kitchen, I began pulling out some cooking supplies and began baking a sweet, tasty looking cake for me to eat. Something sweet that could possibly comfort me during these weird iced-out periods.
As I ate my cake, feeling that big pit of sadness inside of my stomach, Dakota came in, she grabbed herself a grape soda and poured it inside of a glass cup.
"Ah.." Dakota nodded to herself, she looked over at me and rubbed the back of her neck, "You, okay? Because when you make a big cake like that, that usually means you're bummed."
"You guessed correctly." I sulked.
