Jieun was dying...
Dying of embarrassment.

The incident at the Cafe was still roaming fresh through her mind and she was wishing it never happened.

The fact that Jisung texted her 15 minutes ago was not helping the incident leave her mind either.

Why does he have to remember? Gosh...this is embarrassing.

Jieun was in her bedroom pacing back and forth. She knew that he asked a simple question but she still didn't know how to respond.

What she learned about Jisung from their previous conversations was that he's super gullible and she assumed him to be an over thinker. So she didn't want her response to offend him or worry him in anyway.

"Should I send a quick dry text? No..he would probably think I don't want to talk to him..." Jieun shook her head, "maybe I should send him a mini paragraph? Wait no, he just asked a simple question." Again, she shook her head.

Jieun sighed and sat on her bed, "I'm overthinking this. Just say that you're fine and form a conversation or something." She opened the message and started typing in a reply.

As Jieun was about to hit the send button, she got interrupted by an incoming call from her friend Daeun. Without hesitation, Jieun accepted the call.

"Hello?" She answered.

"Ji where are you? The professor is already here and I saved you a seat." Daeun whispered through the phone.

Jieun's eyes widened at, she totally forgot that she had a class today. She looked at her watch that read 12:30 and the lecture started at 12:25.

"Oh my gosh! Daeun I forgot we had class today!" Jieun threw on some random clothes and brushed her hair.

"Hurry up girlie, I'll stall for you once he starts taking attendance." Daeun told the girl who was literally running around her dorm trying to get ready quickly.

"Dude thank you! I owe you big time!" Jieun stopped running to catch her breath.

"Buy me a coffee once this class is over please, I need it." Daeun yawned.

"Of course! Anything for you life savor, I'll see you in a bit." Jieun finally walked out the door, more like ran out the door.

"See you in a bit, better hurry!" Daeun chuckled before hanging up the phone.

Jieun was sprinting to the campus while forgetting pretty much everything that happened before. She was never late to lectures and if anything, she was usually the first one there. Because of that, she was hoping that the professor would excuse her for being late this one time, if Daeun wasn't able to stall for long enough.

In ten minutes, Jieun finally made it into the building where her class was being held. She stopped running and walked quickly to her classroom.

Jieun went through the back door instead of the front door of the classroom. The professor thankfully didn't seem to notice her presence and continued his lesson, allowing Jieun to successfully find her seat next to her friend.

"You made it! Thank god he didn't take attendance yet." Daeun whispered, greeting Jieun.

Jieun smiled along with a small nod, "thanks for reminding me we had class. I totally forgot about it."

"Don't worry about it. You seem pretty busy these days. I feel like I haven't talked or seen you these days. Your cafe job keeping you busy? Or is it studying since exams are coming up?" Daeun asked.

"Honestly both. I've also been caught up in a few things too." Jieun answered. Her eyes widened and she gasped after realizing she never responded to Jisung's message, she just left him on open.

"What's wrong?" Daeun furrowed her eyebrows at her friend's sudden action.

"Uh..." Jieun's mind was literally spinning, "I forgot to reply to my friend's message."

"Oh, just answer them after class is over. The professor is writing down notes." Dauen then pointed to the professor who was now writing on the board.

Jieun nodded her head and took out her notebook.

"You working after this?" Daeun asked.

"Yes sadly. Never get any breaks." Jieun started writing down any important information she caught on the board.

"Hang in there girlie." Daeun smiled, which Jieun reciprocated with a nod.

Jieun sighed, "I'm trying."

"Can you squeeze my coffee order into your busy work schedule?" Daeun asked, reminding Jieun that she asked earlier.

"Of course, anything for you bae." Jieun winked, making Daeun chuckle.
