A red hue took hold of the girl's face, pulling her hood down to hide the sudden blush that appeared on her cheeks.

"I was just kidding you dumbo, you didn't actually have to answer that." Jieun forced out a chuckle to hide her actual feelings as she gave the taller boy a little shove to the side.

The smile that was on his face earlier turned into a more hesitant and nervous expression as he walked closer beside the girl. He couldn't hold his feelings in any longer, he just couldn't.

"I wasn't kidding though." He voiced out, looking at the one he's been head over heels for.

Jieun's footsteps came to a halt, Jisung did the same and stopped right in front of her, observing her surprised reaction.

"Jisung-"

"Look, Ji. I like you." He cut her off quickly, "I really like you..and I'm not saying that as a friend but as a guy who genuinely has feelings for you."

Jieun felt as if her stomach dropped.

It was as if the world around them stopped moving and they were the only two on the planet.

Jisung was scared for his life. He didn't know if it was the right time to tell her or if she would even accept him. But he knew the feelings he had for her weren't going to go away and he didn't want to loose her. He wanted to be with her more than he imagined.

"I-If you don't feel the same, then I understand." His head lowered to the ground, "I just...I had to let you know."

Scared to hear her answer, Jisung's feet started to walk ahead of her, pretty quickly too.

Jieun took a minute to process everything he just said, not even noticing that he was walking away.

She didn't know how to react.

She liked him. Of course she did. She liked Jisung a lot but things were different now. She wasn't just some college student who worked a part time job at some small cafe shop anymore. She was an idol with a career that just started.

It was obvious that the only right answer was to turn him down for the sake of both their jobs but deep down she knew she couldn't.

She wanted to be with him as much as he wanted to be with her. Anyone could see it in the way they acted around each other.

Questions flooded her mind, wondering what the future held for them.

But what if we get caught? What will the company think about this? Will we get kicked out of our groups? Can we even be together?

Jieun sighed, her heart and head had two different answers.

She looked up to look at Jisung and noticed that he was a bit far now. Kicking a few rocks as he walked with his head hung down. A small laugh escaped her mouth at the sight of the troubled boy, he looked like a sad little kid.

Something about him just brought a smile to her face and she wanted to be by his side for a long time.

She followed her heart once and became an idol, no doubt that it was the best decision she ever made. It wouldn't hurt to listen to her heart one more time, right?

Fuck it...

Jieun's legs took off in a little jog, trying her best to catch up to the tall guy. A shy grin painted  onto her face as she approached him from behind.

She gently grabbed onto his wrist, hoping not to surprise him, but Jisung was a jumpy person and still flinched anyways.

Turning around to look at the person, Jisung's eyes widened a little at the sight of Jieun standing in front of him.

"Why did you just take off without hearing my answer?" She asked him, looking into his soft brown eyes, which only looked away from hers.

He didn't give her an answer and just stood there. All his confidence from earlier was long gone and the shy and quiet Jisung was back.

"Jisung." She called out sternly, earning his attention and their eyes locking.

Jisung panicked at her tone, feeling a pit of nervousness arise in his stomach. "Before you reject me, I just-"

"Jisung." She called out again, being the one to cut him off this time, "I like you too."

Jisung's eyes widened and his breath hitched, looking at the girl in disbelief. "..you like me too?" he asked, wondering if he misheard.

"I like you." She repeated with a big smile.

Jisung put a hand over his mouth, still not believing the words that left her lips.

Jieun laughed at his reaction, noticing his red face and ears even from under the hood he wore. She was sure that she was probably the same as she felt the heat already creep up her face.

Jisung walked closer to her and engulfed the small girl in his arms, "Thank you, thank you, thank you." He said repeatedly, "I'll be good to you, I promise."

Jieun's heart nearly exploded but didn't miss the chance to wrap her arms around the giant that she caught feelings for.

Jisung moved back a bit but his arms were still around the girl, not wanting to let go, "Does this mean, that we're...you know.."

"Dating?" She asked, making him nod as she completed his sentence. "If that's what you want. I'll follow whatever you want."

Jisung nodded again, "So...can I be your boyfriend?" he asked, looking down at her with nothing but love swirling around his eyes.

"Yes Jisung," She laughed, "You can be my boyfriend."

Again, Jisung didn't miss the opportunity to hug the girl once more, giving her a tight squeeze but careful not to crush her.

Jieun couldn't help but giggle at his tactics and was in love with this affectionate side of him. "You're adorable." she mumbled with her head buried in his chest.

Jisung laughed at the sudden compliment, "Me?"

"Yes you, who else you dumbo?"

"Are you seriously going to call me that?" Jisung asked with the shake of his head.

"It's cute and it suits you." She said as she pulled away from his embrace, staring up at his face instead.

"Whatever you say, Ji." He grinned.

Jisung pulled down the hood of her hoodie to protect her from the public, still being cautious. He then took her small hand in his, feeling nothing but joy and relief.

"Let's go, girlfriend." Jisung stated teasingly, swinging their arms together as they started to walk.

Jieun chuckled at his words, "Let's go, boyfriend."
