A beautiful day above Arcadia. Wonderful. The sun is shining, the sky is blue, not a single gray cloud. Of course, it was a scene of terrible events before Jim went back through time. Many lives were taken: Toby, Nomura, Strickler, and most of the people Jim cared and loved. But Toby, Toby was his friend.
After going back through time, he wakes up. Realizing what had happened. He smiles happily.
"I-it worked!" He shouts. Barbara, Jim's mother, heads upstairs, worrying. "Jim! Are you alright?" She barged into his bedroom. Their eyes meet. Jim tries not to tear up after seeing his mother, healthy.
"Mom!" He hugs her tightly. Barbara gasps for air. "Woah! Jim! It's like you've never seen me for a long time." She chuckles and embraces him as well.
"Is this an excuse for you to skip school?" She snorts. "Of course not, mom." He lets go. "I'm gonna go make breakfast now." Jim heads down the stairs, accidentally tripping and falling face first on the floor. Barbara gasped. "Are you okay, Jim?" She bursts out of laughter.
Jim laughs awkwardly. "Well, my cheek kinda hurts." He rubs his face. Barbara walks downstairs. "I'll grab you an ice pack. Don't worry, I'll tell Mr. Strickler that you'll be late a bit."
Jim grabs his bag and sits down on the couch. The birds chirped as he listened to his surroundings. Nostalgia hits him.
"Here," Barbara hands him an ice pack. Jim grabs it and rushes to the garage. "Bye, mom! I'll be home soon!" He gets on his bike as the garage door opens. Toby, on his bike, waits for Jim.
Toby notices him. "Hey Jimbo!"
"Heya, Tobes." Jim felt relieved to see Toby again. After that, traumatizing experience.
"Sorry I didn't make some sandwiches for us."
"It's alright Jimbo. I already ate at Nana's. Phew, there was a lot to consume." Toby burps. Jim hops on his bike and smirks at him.
"What happened to your face, by the way?"
"I accidentally down the stairs and fell face first."
"Ough! Get better soon."
The two of them bike their way to school.
To Jim, it was nice to see the world being normal. Adults going to work, kids going to school, trolls living underground.
"Let's take the canal!" Toby peddles faster. "Maybe let's not-"
"Oh come on Jimbo! You always say that you want a bit of adventure once in a while-"
"Tobes, just trust me. Please."
But Toby didn't listen. He took the way to the canal. Jim followed since he needed to watch over him. "Woooooh!" Toby biked down the canal. "Toby!" Jim falls off his bike and holds on to him. "Woah, Jimbo! It's not like I'm gonna die or something." He stops biking. "Oh- haha! R-right. Sorry, Tobes."
"It's alright. Also, look! There are rocks in a weird pile way!" He points at the dead body of Kanjigar that was broken to pieces. I-it already happened.. Jim worries in his mind. Toby runs to the rock pile of the dead Trollhunter.
"Tobes! Shouldn't we head to school? Come on!" Jim tries to lead Toby away, but he doesn't listen. Jim follows Toby.
'Toby Domzalski.. Toby Domzalski..'
The amulet called out Toby's name. Toby Domzalski.. Toby Domzalski.. Toby Domzalski..
Over and over, Toby heard his name. Jim was worried. He couldn't bare to lose his friend again, in a different way.
"Toby! School!" Jim became anxious.
"Dude- when did you get interested in school? And also, what's that thing calling me?" He searches for the source of the voice. Jim rushes to Kanjigar's broken body and searches for the amulet to hide it away from Toby. "Where's is it? Where is it?" Jim asks himself as he searches. Some of the sharp stones scratch Jim's hands. A strong glow shines through the rocks. Jim had found it, but Toby blocks his way and grabs it. "Woah! What did you find?" He picks up the amulet.
Memories flash back from Jim's head. The war, the fight. Everyone he had lost.
Jim stood there with a blank face. His eyes lock on the amulet.
"Awsome sauce!" Toby glances at the amulet's glow.

Toby and Jim are at school. And of course, high school stress comes in.
Algebra was the first subject in the morning. Miss Janeth writes on the blackboard. On Toby's desk, there was the amulet. It wasn't glowing anymore.
"If x is 4, then..." On and on, miss Janeth went with explaining algebra. Almost everyone in the class slept, except for Eli, the nerd. She looks back at the class and clears her throat. Jim gasps in shock and gazes at her.
"Children, I am a teacher. I teach you things. Not your mother singing you a lullaby to sleep!" She scowled. Very few laughed.
A few minutes later, math had ended. Then physical education, then history, etc.

The two friends hop on their bike and ride home. "Jimbo? You alright? You're acting weird today." Toby asked. Jim doesn't reply. His eyes just locked on the amulet in Toby's hand. "Come on! Nothing's wrong with this.. Thing!" Toby peddles faster. Jim sighed.
