[This chapter has been revised and edited]
Annabeth pauses and stares at me for a second then tilts her head to the side, "but you can try."
I sigh and calm myself down, "can you just read the paper?" Why isn't she giving it up?
"It doesn't help if you don't try" she continues.
"I can't read if I'll try I'll fail now read the damn paper" I say failing to calm myself down.
Thanks mom for the tutor. Not.
Annabeth looks up into my eyes "Percy."
I let out another sigh "What?"
"Read the paper" she repeats.
I forrow my brows in frustration " for the last time, no."
Annabeth ignores my refusal and continues, "read the paper"
"no"
"I thought you said that was the last time?" Annabeth points out with a smirk.
I roll my eyes, "ha ha wise girl." Note the sarcasm.
"Wise girl?" Annabeth furrows her brows then slightly shakes her head, "never mind, just read."
When is she going to stop? "No"
"Read"
"No"
"Read"
"No"
"Read and Jackson don't even think about saying no" Annabeth give me a challanging look.
I pause for a second and look staright into her eyes as I slightly inch my head forward towards her direction, "no"
She huffs in annoyance "why wont you just try?"
"You won't get it" I say and look away from her ad I lean back in my chair.
"yes I would" Annabeth says straight up, "I have dyslexia too."
My eyes widen and I sit up straight on my chair and turn my head to stare at her. She has dyslexia too?
"How'd you know I have dyslexia?" I asked without even thinking. They probably already told her that before, she's my tutor why wouldn't they tell her that information. "Oh did the school tell you or something?"
She shakes her head, "they didn't tell me anything about you, I actually just found that I'm supposed to be tutoring you. They probably did tell me in an email but I haven't checked it yet."
I furrow my brows, "then how'd you find out?"
"Because from the way you responded especially when you said that if you try you'll fail" Annabeth says "then I pieced it all together, Mr. Chiron chose me specifically to tutor you because I have worked with tutoring dyslexic kids in the past and I am dyslexic as well."
"well, how'd you learn to read with dyslexia?" I ask quite shocked especially seeing that she always reads in her free time, and she has like two huge chapter books with her.
"I tried" Annabeth gives a simple answer but it honestly hit hard. That is something I never git myself to do because if I try I will fail, so what's the point in trying?
Annabeth takes the paper and begins to read it. "So we're supposed to choose a greek god or goddess and make a poster or presentation" she says after she is done reading the paper.
"Poseidon" I quickly state my answer befire Annabeth can give hers.
"What?" She asks.
"Lets do Poseidon" I repeat.
Annabeth gives me an unsure look, "I was thinking Athena."
I smirk as I think of a way to get Annabeth to go with my chose, "you don't want to do all the work right?"
"Fine lets do Poseidon" Annabeth says not wanting to deal with it.
"good girl" I say with a smile, I knew it would work.
She rolled her eyes and shakes her head at me. "Anyway what do you know about Poseidon?" Annabeth askes.
"That he is the god of the sea and his brothers are Zues and Hades, and his dad is the titan Kronos, and his roman form is Neptune, and other stuff that I don't remember at the time" I say thinking back to anytime time in any of my social study classes we were taught that unit.
Annabeth gives me an amused smirk "and you think that Poseidon is better than Athena?"
I raise a brow at her, "yup" I feel she may start something.
"She's the goddess of wisdom and war stragedy, Zues's favorite daughter, born from the mind, turned Arachne into a spider, her roman form is Minerva, and the Athens chose Athena over Poseidon" Annabeth states.
"I say we still do Poseidon" I say not caring for awmusednything I just heard Annabeth tell me, "and quit turning this into a debate."
Poseidon is still cooler and he always will be.
"I'm not-" Annabeth started but stopped herself and gives me a smug look, "spell Poseidon?"
I furrow mt brows "what?"
"Can you even spell Poseidon?" Annabeth asks.
"Uh...." I try to spell it in my head but everything looks wrong.
She crosses her arms "thought so, where doing Athena."
What? How? I sigh "fine you win" I say with my arms crossed. I don't see why me not knowing how to spell Poseidon is a good reason for us to not do him for the project.
Annabeth glances at me with a smile, "I always win."
I smirk and shake my head at her. She managed to get her way against me, Percy Jackson.
We were about to get started on our project but the bell immediately rings which startles me. Seriously? Did we really take the whole class period on deciding which god to do?
"Percy?" Annabeth stands up and grabs her things, "lets go."
"What class?" I ask.
"Math"
"Oh my god" I roll my eyes, I hate math.
"If you want to know what classes are next why don't you just read your schedule" Annabeth says.
I decide ignore her comment and begin to get up from my seat. I follow her to our next class without saying a word to eachother. As we make our way to math I begin to debate wether I should skip it or not, I really want to.
Would that be a good idea for my first day? It think on it for a second and decide wouldn't be. I'll just go along with all my classes for the day.
