"Shh," Lindsey had one arm wrapped around her waist from behind as the other worked on getting the room key into the door. "We're gonna wake up the entire hall." He smirked, voice soft as her contagious laughs filled the quiet air around them.

"Then let's wake them." She leaned her head back against his chest, looking at him out of the corner of her eyes as she grinned softly. "You're taking forever, Lindsey." Stevie's hand was on his, nails grazing his fingers.

He nodded in agreement, finally peeling his eyes off of her to really focus on what he was trying to do. "You're distracting me, Stephanie..." he told her in a joking manner, which caused another deep giggle to escape her.

She was the first to step into the hotel room once he had finally gotten the key to work, not letting go of his hand as she led the way through the suite. "I'm so tired." She had already slipped her shawl off, letting it hit the floor without much care.

She was in a silk black dress that went down to her knees, tights covering the rest of her legs.... he could hardly take his eyes off of her all evening.

They had just gotten back from an after party, which wasn't something he really wanted to go to once he was in her presence.... he was ready to sneak back to the hotel and pretend nothing else mattered except each other, but she was all about it. She was excited to see everyone and after a couple of glasses of wine, she was the life of the party... like usual.

She was the most beautiful woman in the room and happier than he had seen her in a quite a while, which was a huge sigh of relief.

Sometimes time apart does wonders for married people and he was thinking that maybe that was what they needed... They needed room to really miss each other.

"I bet you are." He pressed a kiss to the top of her head. "You've had a long day, baby." He rubbed her hip softly, letting her go, even though she didn't seem like she wanted him to.

"But I had so much fun with you tonight." Stevie's brown eyes grew soft as she watched him take off his leather jacket and then his shoes.

He had to have been exhausted too, but she really wasn't ready to go to sleep just yet.

Running his fingers through his curls, he glanced back up to see those piercing orbs melting right into his. "Did you?" He raised a brow softly, a little grin trailing across his handsome face.

She couldn't have possibly enjoyed his company more than he enjoyed hers...

She let off another warm smile as she nodded her head. "I've been so bored without you." She slipped her arms around his neck the moment he came back into her reach.

Holding her by the waist, he leaned in for what she thought was a hug. "I missed you so much." Lindsey couldn't help but tickle her side, which sent soft laughs through the room as he gently pushed her back to lie on the foot of the bed.

"Lindsey!" Her loud laughs were floating through the room, probably making it to the other side of those walls, but neither of them really cared.

Staring down at her, he watched a sweet smile trail across her face as her hair laid fanned out around her. "I'm sorry..." he whispered, never looking away.

Creasing a brow, she couldn't help but giggle once more. "For what?" Stevie was suddenly a little more nervous than before...

"I should be home, with you right now..." his hand met her cheek, gently holding her face. "Not here, not when I know-"

"Stop it." She cut him off, shaking her head lightly as she pulled him in a closer. "We only have a couple of days together..." she reminded him, a soft sigh escaping her when his head fell to her chest. "And we're okay." She assured, leaving a kiss to his curls. "We've always been okay, and we always will be."

"Look at this happy couple..." Meredith caught them in the elevator, holding the door to make sure they made it on with her.

They were all laughs as they hurried down the hallway, holding hands and chatting. "Good morning." The blonde had a soft smile on her face as they stepped in.

Lindsey pushed the button for the lobby before he sank back against the wall. "We're gonna meet the kids for breakfast down the road, you should join us." He mentioned, cradling the styrofoam cup of coffee in one hand as the other held onto the railing.

"That's a wonderful offer..." she lingered, still grinning softly. "But I think I'll just grab something quick and then I'm going to call Bill." Meredith had been married for forty- five years and they talked for hours on end when she was away... If she wasn't working, she was on the phone with her husband.

With a soft sigh, Stevie's lips turned up into a warm smile... she thought that was so special. "That's sweet." She admitted as she causally leaned back into Lindsey for a moment.

She could only hope that in another twenty years, they were still that in love...

He slipped his hand around her waist, giving her a soft squeeze. "We'll see you at check out." He motioned for her to step out of the elevator first before they headed out into the lobby as well.

"Have fun, kids." She waved lightly, wrapping her sweater around herself tighter as she trailed down the hallway and eventually disappeared around a corner.

And before long- after a short walk across the street, the couple found themselves sitting next to each other in a booth, while their two oldest kids sat right across from them... Half asleep.

"I am so proud of the two of you." Stevie reached across the table, patting Levy's hand softly as she stared over at Crosby with a gentle smile.

They were both slouched down in the leather seat, hoods pulled up over their heads and eyes so tired, they were hardly even open.

"Thank you, mom." Crosby returned the smile, actually kind of happy to have her there.

"We've been having a lot of fun." Levy assured, bringing his cup of coffee up to his lips to take a drink.

Shifting in his seat, Lindsey chuckled. "Did you party too hard last night or what?" He wondered, not sure how they could both look so exhausted when they were back at their hotel room before midnight.... Or so their parents thought.

"We played video games until late." Crosby was good at lying- he'd been doing it forever.

Stevie grinned once more, hand meeting her husbands thigh under the table. "I'm so proud of how well you're doing on the road." She felt Lindsey tangle his fingers in between hers. "This seems like it's been good for you."'
