"Aren't you supposed to be at work?" Carina asks, just finished vomiting her guts out.

"I am at work," Maya says. "Nonstop vomiting can be serious. I am a paramedic preventing a catastrophe," she tries to comfort her wife, stroking her back and sitting on the bathroom floor with her.

"Mm, a catastrophe that you literally baked into a lasagna. How do you mess up a lasagna?"

"I don't know. I thought I did everything right... Okay, I was in a rush, and I wanted to get it to you while it was still hot. I did take it out of the oven a few minutes early," Maya confesses.

"How early?" she asked suspiciously.

"Did it at least taste okay?" Maya asks making Carina smile.

"Thank you for coming," Carina says, leaning back against Maya, feeling her close for the first time in a long time.

"Thank you for letting me in," Maya says, happy to finally spend some time with her.

The moment is abruptly interrupted by a message from Jack telling saying that they need to head back.

"You have to go?" Carina asks, leaning closer to Maya who holds her tight.

"I'll stay," Maya says determined; she wants to take care of her wife.

"Maya..." Carina knows she has to go.
