Prologue
Sabrina couldn't move. Her body felt like lead. The entire world seemed to fade beyond just the three of them. The ground was rough under her palms, blotches of sticky red hit the ground repetitively.
Plop.... Plop....
The air was tainted with sulfuric ash. The ozone crackled with energy, the skies black clouds spelled doom. The screams that tortured the hills relentlessly acted as fitting background music.
The hairs on her arms stood on end, her eyes widened. She couldn't even move her finger, much less dodge this attack. Her battered body ached. Her mind was sluggish to the battle.
Plop.... Plop....
"Sabrina!" Her name did little to wake her senses. Her shaking limbs begged her to just give up. To give in. She was going to die anyway.
A figure towered nearby, he grin maliciously. His once blue eyes now a terrifying red. He floated off the ground like an omnipresent god. His laugh was insane, electricity sparked between his fingers. His eyes locked onto Sabrina's.
Plop.... Plop.... Plop...
Friend or Foe.
Hero or Villain.
Jason Grace was going to kill her.
"NO!"
He threw his hands forward the lightning charged with dangerous energy. It reached towards her with its speeding fingers.
Plop.... Plop....
Something happened. The white light vanished behind a silhouette, a girl. Her screams stung the entire battleground. Her bow clattered to the dirt, spraying clumps in other directions. Her body jerked and twitched in horrible agony. It tore through her jeans, sparking in between all of her limbs.
It was gone the next second, and her body fell to the ground. Dead weight.
"...Twila..." Sabrina gasped.
"TWILA!" Jaz screamed.
Jaz sliced through the monsters leaping over to them with unimaginable speed. Her eyes were dark, and the shadows twisted to her will, more powerful than anything ever before.
Plop...Plop...
After everything they had been through. After every challenge, every monster, every mistake and plan and victory...It couldn't end like this.
It couldn't just end.
Plop...Plop...
Jaz screamed, mid leap. Her body lost under a wave of water that appeared out of no where. Her scissors were swept away and she was tossed about until Sabrina couldn't see her.
"...Jaz..." She choked. Sabrina force her hand outward reaching for them, but it was too late. Towering over them were seven figures, dangerous figures, with red eyes like demons.
Plop...Plop...
Sabrina's body collapsed. Her chin hit the ground again. Her green eyes unfocused. And everything succumbed to black.
Plop...Plop...
It couldn't... It couldn't...just...
Plop...
...Just...
Plop....
...End...
