The day everything went wrong started with Sabrina going completely crazy. And even worse: She knew she was going crazy.

Everyone knew Sabrina was going crazy. She'd been that way, teetering in between reality and psycho-ness for years now. And it was blatantly obvious by the way she looked around her, green eyes sparkling with uncertainty. Was she seeing the real world...or the other one?

And it wasn't like the other one wasn't real. In fact, when Sabrina was the other one was real world. Of course, she'd never admit it out loud. She had no intentions to spend her life in an asylum with actual crazy people.

"Sabrina, Come on!" Her sister, Eva, said exasperatedly.

Sabrina hadn't realized she stopped and was staring at the bus driver until Eva was pulling her down the isle. In her defense, how could you not stop and stare at horns like those? They were huge!

"Could you try not to be crazy, today?" Eva hissed under her breath to her younger sister. Sabrina shoved her hands deeper into the pockets of her favorite green jacket. Eva always talked like Sabrina could choose whether or not to see impossible things. It was part of her "charm".

Eva Green was two years older than Sabrina and almost as much of a legend. She was tall, popular, and the prime reason people tended to stay away from Sabrina. She tried to be nice every once-in-a- millennium, but it usually backfired on Sabrina. Like she knew today was going to.

Her perfect pitch of a boyfriend- Will Something-or-other- was already siting in a seat grinning welcomingly at Eva as if Sabrina didn't exist at all. Eva sat down next to her boyfriend, placing her bag neatly at their feet. Sabrina rolled her eyes and slunk into the bus seat behind them.

"Are you excited?" Will asked Eva.

"Totally!" Eva leaned into her boyfriend, sparkling with joy.

"Not at all." Sabrina sighed and leaned back in her bus seat. Not that either of them cared about what Sabrina felt. New Year's was not one of those things Sabrina enjoyed. Quiet the opposite actually. Sabrina hated the day. And the parties. And the obnoxious screams. And the too-close random strangers.

And the kissing.

She never saw why it was such a big deal. New Year's was literally just an excuse for people to get drunk and to stay up until the sun freaking rises. Sabrina rather be in bed, reading, or even better--Sleeping.

But this year Eva and Will had made a pact. They were going to see the actual ball drop in New York Times Square. And they were going to kiss and confess their undying love for each and how they would always be together and practically get married under the artificial light and surrounded hot sweat bodies of complete strangers.

And Sabrina had to be there to watch. Oh Joy. Despite what Eva said about it being their idea, Sabrina knew that the only reason they dragged her along was because their mother wanted to discourage any....ahem...fun activities while they were out of state.

"Sup, Peter!" A voice called as new customers stepped onto the bus. Sabrina couldn't get a good look at them, but she saw the horns of the driver nodding a welcome. Horns that were not a part of her imagination. As the group traveled down the isle in search of seat Sabrina turned away again, losing interest.

Out the window, New Yorkers scurried about in a hurry, last minute shopping or business trips. She watched one woman spill coffee accidentally on another guy, some guy talking on a cellphone nearly ran over a woman with a baby stroller, a woman with wings made of yellow feathers on her arms ducked into a dark alleyway, some one dropped a briefcase and lost half a dozen papers in the frigid  wind....The usual stuff.
