She was at the top. There was no place to go. There was nothing more to reach for. Control, which had been the power she yielded from a very young age...

CHAPTER FORTY-THREE: OBEY
TIARA'S POV
I let out a relieved sigh when the plane came to a full stop. Nag-iinat na umayos ako ng upo. We've been holed inside the plane for almost nineteen hours. Domino and I have watched a great number of new films, he taught me how to play the game he has on his laptop, we've talked about a hundred of things, and we indulge in one of his favorite activities when he's with me. Eating.
Unfortunately, it's not the Serpent Time we're immersing ourselves into. Domino made sure that we're only using the room on the private plane for some shut-eye. Aside from that, nothing else. He had proven for hours how strong his self-control is. Again, unfortunately.
"What?"
"Nothing. It's just that I don't know if you're relieved that we can finally escape this place or if you're relieved that the plane landed intact."
"Both," nangingiting sabi ko. "The first time we were on a plane like this, it was almost torn in half, and there were two dead people with us."
We both turned to look at the flight attendant, who has been blushing whenever my husband talks to her directly.
Husband.
Domino smiled at her, oblivious to the effect that it had on the poor woman. "It's a long story."
I tapped his shoulders, and I pointed at the overhead compartment. We need to go before the flight attendant starts to hyperventilate. She looks like she wouldn't mind no matter how long Domino's story would be, as long as he was the one to narrate it.
He strapped it into his body, and then he slung the bag on his shoulder. "I want you holding nothing but my hand. Kakakasal lang natin. Ayokong magselos."
I rolled my eyes at the same time that the flight attendant made a tiny involuntary squeal in response to what Domino said.
We walked towards the exit, said our goodbyes to the crew, and stepped out of the plane. The cold air hit my face the moment we were out. I opened my free hand, and flakes of snow dropped on it. Hands still locked together, we descended down the stairs and onto the tarmac.
"Shit."
I looked at Domino. He has his bag opened. "What?"
"Nailagay nila Luna ang coat natin sa bagahe. I only have a jacket here."
