[One Month Later - The Hogosha Estate]
"The Village of Lavender Light?" Hinata sat at her desk, looking over the scrolls of requisition requests from her citizens. She carefully held a scroll with her clawed hands, making sure not to damage the paper. Some of the requests were for business licenses to open up shops in the village square, while others were for traveling carts and the right to purchase horses to transport their wares. Hinata wanted to ensure everything was running smoothly before announcing taxes to her council. The current scroll she held was regarding building a Ninja Academy in the empty plot of land by the Eastern Wall. Hinata was keen on making sure every detail was included in this request. As she was reviewing the scroll, Tsuma and Runa came into her office with a dark blue cloth banner, embroidered with the Kajin for the words 'Lavender Light' in lavender threads, along with a flame at the bottom. Hinata raised an eyebrow as she looked at the two citizens seated across from her, her mask resting on the desk, revealing her face.
"Yes, Grand Leader. The village is slowly returning to its normal state, and thanks to the funds you have given us, we are now doing better than before. Additionally, your sharp senses helped us discover a mine filled with the strongest kind of steel we have ever seen! The Blacksmith and his daughters are currently making armor sets for our Shinobi and Kunoichi, and they would like you to come by their forge to give your final approval. Although everything is going well, we have noticed that we have been lacking a name since you took the Grand Leader's Throne. Therefore, we came up with a name that we think best fits our village, and we would like to share it with you." Tsuma said as she pushed the banner towards Hinata, who placed the scroll in her hands down and grabbed the banner to examine it - it was well made and she was fond of the colors, the name however was rather confusing.
"I am fond of the banner, however, what inspired you both to come up with this name?" Hinata asked as she looked over at Tsuma and Runa.
"The Lanterns you created & hung up last week." Runa said.
"The Lanterns?" Hinata asked.
"You constructed those lanterns when you overheard that some of the children were afraid of the dark. The wind would cause the normal flame to blow out, or the wicks would burn out before the children could get proper rest. So, you made the lanterns that don't require oil. The lavender flames you used to light them with never burn or blow out. The children have announced that they are sleeping better, and the lavender light chases away all of their nightmares. We all think that your lavender light lanterns have given us a sense of security and peace. We would love to see the village named after the smallest thing that seems to help us rest easier at night." Runa explained, causing Tsuma to nod in agreement; Hinata listened to the story and looked back down at the banner before a smile crept upon her face before she looked over at the women sitting across from her with a nod.
"The Village of Lavender Light... I approve of this name. You both shall be compensated for your hard work on deciding a name and creating this banner." Hinata smiled as she rose from her seat and picked up her mask before placing it on her face and gesturing for the women to follow behind her as she left the office and the estate.
[A Week Later - After The Village Name Was Announced]
Koga and his sons, along with a few other men, worked hard to lay down stone paths throughout the village as well as a path leaving the village. The path was about 3 miles long and led to the main road. Once the path was finished, Koga and his team put up banner posts along the path, and Tsuma, Runa, and some of their friends crafted banners to hang up on them. Koga used Shadow Clones to hang up the banners and then admired them as they fluttered in the wind. Finally, he dispelled the Shadow Clones and headed down the path back home.
