The wind was howling, hail was coming down like tennis shooters on steroids. My family and I were running to one of the parks emergency Tornado shelters. Several people were screaming at us to get in. All of a sudden, a tree branch smacks me square in the head. I collapsed then quickly got up and scrambled to the shelter.
"HURRY!" my dad cried. I ran but the pull of the wind was to strong. As the wind started to pull me up, my dad grabbed me and attempted to grab me. Our hands were just centimeters away when the grasp of the wind finally took me to the air.
"ALEX!!" my family screamed. That was the last time I would hear them for a long time. "AAAHHH!" I screamed as the tornado got its dark, scraping claws. I had thought death had done the same.
