Meeting the Broken trio

Over the course of many months the hunt finally got used to having him around and most were rather protective of the young traumatized boy they learned to care for, even Zoe Nightshade. In fact it was the eldest hunters who had the best brother sister connections to him, Percy hung out the most with Zoe and Phoebe.

It was the new hunters that caused problems like, almost exposing me to the other gods and/or almost killing me due to the promise of no men at all. Mom always finds out first though, their punishments can be anywhere from dish duty to death depending ho close they were to their goal and what their goal is. The more minor punishments went to exposure and severe punishment went to attempted murderers.

Other than that little befuddlement life was good.

One day when I was seven Phoebe came and shoved me into the nearest tent. The only time I was shoved into tents at random was when foreigners entered camp.

I immediately went to peek through the cracks, carful to not have my metal fingers scrape against each other. As I peek I see a girl around my age with blond princess curls and a dagger in hand ready to use, she looked terrified. Next to her was another girl a little older than me with spike black hair a spear and shield with medusa on it at the ready.

However as soon as I looked at the person on the ground between them I flinched and knew they would never be part of our hunt, the boy was older than the spear girl, who know seemed to be cackling with electricity, he was blond with blue eyes and tan skin, one of his arms seemed injured, he looked cross-eyed at the arrow tip millimeters from his face.

The spear girl yelled at Zoe, her voice like thunder, her eyes were an electric blue hard and cold, yet they blazed with anger. In the corner of my eye I saw our newest hunter, Evangeline, walk towards this tent. Dang it! She doesn't like me! Evangeline opened her tent flap to find me she screamed and I flinch at the loud noise.

"What are you doing in my tent, boy!" she spit the last word out like venom. She shoved to the ground outside the tent my body collapsing as metal sounds clang through the air. The new comers swiveled their heads to my direction, the angry girl turned back to Zoe looking livid.

"How dare you keep this child hostage!" she misunderstood big time. "You monsters! He's a child! Why are you hurting a child!" she raged she lifted her spear to strike Zoe who was still paying attention to me, suddenly I was in front of Zoe gripping the girls spear as electricity pulsed through me. Enough to kill a three grown man, but after being tasered since forever I didn't even scream. The girl looked at me as if I was an alien.

"H-h-how? W-w-why? W-w-who?" she seemed speechless.

The younger girl took this as a chance to speak up "Who are you? Why are you in a hunt for girls? How'd you get here so quickly? Why'd you save her? Why are you part metal? How'd you survive Thalia's electricity?"

I answered just as quick "Percy. Reasons. I don't know. She's my sister. None of you business. Practice."

Mom walked over at the commotion. When she saw me with the three outsiders her immediate response was "Who is responsible for this?" Her question was answered by Zoe's withering glare at Evangeline. Mom stocked over to the poor huntress and dragged her into her tent for the lecture of her life, but not before she handed Zoe instructions, "The half-bloods cannot leave until further notice. The boy can stay in Percy's tent unless he says otherwise. If, and only if, Percy says no you will set up a spare tent and shove the three of them together. If Percy lets the boy stay with him then the girls may walk around camp with a supervisor; however, if they escape, punishment will be severe." She said the last part to the trio.

"Well you her. Get a move on! Percy can you please take the boy?" Was Zoe's command.

I weighed my options. Maybe he's nice, like papa(Apollo), thought the optimistic side of my brain. But what if he's mean, like Gabe. Just the thought of him sent shivers down my back. Fear began to choke out my thoughts, I let out a small whimper and Zoe spoke ripping me from my thoughts, "Hey. Hey, bud it's okay you don't have to if you don't want to." She soothed holding me in a protective manor.

I said otherwise, "No, no, no. I was just thinking about..." I trailed off. "But I can take him. If I can take the girls too." Zoe paused in thought, and then unexpectedly nodded. She smiled at me and we locked eyes and I went to tell the outsiders of the decision.

"So, you three can follow me, we will be going to my tent because you entering any other tent you'd have a high chance of being brutally murdered." I stated matter-of-factly, giving them the most innocent smile I could muster.

The boy paled at the thought of death; however, the younger girl demanded "Why are you in a hunt for girls only? How are you not dead? Why are you are best chance of survival? Why do you have so many scars?"

I sighed she asked questions I really didn't want to answer, "All the girls here would normally have him" I gestured to the boy, "killed on sight, I have a feeling one or both of you would fight back resulting in the hunt, intentionally or not, killing."

The older girl tilted her head sighed and asked "can you tell us your name?"

I smirked "Tell me yours first."

"Thalia, daughter of Zeus." she thundered.

"Annabeth, daughter of Athena." the younger girl hooted

"Luke, son of Hermes." the boy expressed, taking his time.

"Cool, my name's Percy. Follow me and we shall find ourselves in my living space."  I waved them over in the general direction of my tent.
