[Third person pov]
“Why? Are you crazy?”
Jeongin simply shrugged, his hands tucked in his pockets. He had informed Jina that he didn't want to proceed with their plan. Just when it was getting to faze four, Iseul was showing genuine interest now, and that when the notes would start to reveal clues of who writes them, each note would lead to another possible way until he was revealed. Iseul loves a good chase, Jeongin just had to ruin it.
“I know, I know you burnt your last braincells to come up with that but... Ow!” Jeongin yelped when Jina whacked his head. “What was that for?”
Jina sighed, kicking a random pebble. “Its just, Iseul was starting to like you and I feel like she'd be really hurt. Ahh, Yang Jeongin, you fool!” she buried her fingers in her hair, panicking.
“I'm so sorry, I didn't notice.”
“Dense motherfucker!” Jina scoffed, walking away from the black haired. He tried calling her back but she ignored him, still muttering under her breath.
“Jina, I said I'm sorry,” Jeongin caught up, grabbing her hand, hoping it would halt her quick steps.
“Shut up! You made me hurt Iseul,” Jina tried pulling her hand away from his tight grasp, the lump in her throat getting more painful. Jeongin felt really terrible seeing tears weld her eyes. “Now I know why she's always down. I never should've talked to you, I hate you!”
“I'm sorry, I didn't mean to. I'm so dumb,” Jeongin sighed, engulfing the crying Jina in a hug, ignoring her mumbles about how she hates him and the weak punches she directed at his chest. Jina soon stopped struggling and allowed herself to melt into the hug, her fingers digging into his shirt.
It was all vague, two minded, she really wanted Jeongin to be with Iseul but partly wanted him to stay with her. It made her feel very selfish and stupid. Even distracting herself by gushing over boys didn't work, she always managed to still like him.
“I really hate you so much, Jeongin.”
