...We even tried for our afflicted breathing to make less noise... It started to rain, we could hear it clearly! Maybe it would help to disguise whatever noise we could make...

The elephant monster was somewhat between the door and the jeep.
- We could go out through the other door, make it follow us around the church and then we bypassed it to enter your "car"!... - I whispered.
- I wouldn't probably start it in time before it catches us...
The elephant body and trunk made weird depth noises that echoed either outside and inside itself. It was moving with small steps.
- It's moving away... Maybe we should just wait a bit longer!? - I suggested... We also could feel it in the ground.
It was heavily quiet, except from the monster's noise...
- It's bypassing the cathedral... - He analysed. - When it gets to the other side, we can try to get out towards the jeep as quiet as possible. As soon as I turn on the engine I will get it's attention, but I will accelerate immidiatly and maybe that's our chance...
- Okey... - But, only "Maybe!?"...
- Come... - He slowly began walking towards the main door.
A roar!... Followed by a trunk-trumpet!... Followed by breaking glasses! They fell on the floor, the shattered colored vitral glass from the higher windows! The exhaling air through the dark grey trunk echoing inside of the cathedral was deafening!!! I had to cover my ears with my hands and the masked man almost had the same instinct! Although, the trunk wasn't long enough to reach us through that window... But what when if the beast figured to try one of the doors!? Also... Will this structure could be actually enough to hold against the strength of a beast that passed through trees like if they were ants!?
- We can't risk being here anymore! - Volodymyr gave up on being quiet. - We must leave now! Come on!!! - He shoulder-tackled the door to open it and ran towards the jeep, me right behind him!
I felt the animal's agitation without even looking at it. Heard hard heavy noises of "damage", not sure what the elephant was destroying simply with it's own body movement, but I kept running, pulled the jeep's only right door and climbed to the seat next to Volodymyr. He was already holding the key that was on ignition. Turned it and the engine started! The vehicle moved, but not forward!!! It went pushed-dragged aside against the cathedral's wall! The window on Vol's side cracked as I was screaming. The elephant's trunk has whipped the heavy metal jeep like if it was a small LEGO! My masked friend looked numb, but still pressed the pedal and we began to move forward! The mirror on his side got crushed and the jeep was sparking while brushing against the wall on his side! The beast growled! Volodymyr seemed to get back onto himself and turned the weel. Left-Right-Left... I was bouncing in my seat! We went through the narrow road towards the big main road - if we moved forward we would go in the direction of the center of Schevchenkivs'kyi district, and Kharkiv's center, towards those appartments block we were before... and also towards Kharkiv's zoo! That's totally not the best direction... To the left we would pass through the detour that we took where we previously ran away with the car we stole on the Gym's park, but if we followed the road it would lead us to other alternative directions. We turned right, tho... West side. The jeep dragged and I think it actually still touched the turned upside down car we were on a bit earlier! He accelerated!
- This road connects with E105, but I must detour from the main roads that connect Kharkiv, Poltava, Kiev and other big cities. All those are still cut down due to the war. I'll go through "Bohodukhiv", "Opishnya"... - He simply was thinking out loud. - So that I can cross "Kaniv"'s bridge.
I had no clue what those places were...
- Where are we heading? I mean... Where will we stop in the end? Are we going to your house?
- No... I actually lived here on Kharkiv before joining the army and being placed in "Irpin"'s Military Hospital, near Kiev. We have a long trip ahead, about half day... We might reach "Vinnytsia" (Вінниця), but at least soon I'll be able to take out the mask.

The "Lyudviha Svobody" was a wide, still, I had to squint my eyes in order too see through rain drops hitting the jeep's front window, in order to try to figure out was was that bit dark shadow occupying almost all road...
- STOP! - I shouted.
Vol' pressed the breaks. The vehicle aquaplaned a bit before stopping. There was something like a huge round shaped rock in the middle of the road.
- What's that!? - Volodymyr blamed to himself the mask, it's round glasses and the rain... - What's that doing there!?
- It moved! - I noticed.
Volodymyr prepared himself...
The grey round rock suddenly opened a huge pink mouth filled with blood facing us! It's large jaw kept opening wide!!! So wide it ripped itself apart from the rest of it's dark body! I felt so nauseous looking at it!!!
- Let's get the fuck out of this hell at once!!! - Volodymyr stepped on the accelerator, turned the well and bypassed the mutant hipoppotamus!

It's was night when we arrived "Vinnytsia"... I thanked the elegant beautiful blonde young blue eyed unmasked man before we parted ways... After being analysed between other bureaucracies, I taught the strangers where my home was. I told some police-related mem what happened and then I went to live with my closest uncle.
