missing you...

(teen Fic! so in this particular fic Lucy is 16 whilst Tim is 18)

Lucy was tired, she was so so tired she felt lifeless, nothing has been the same since the breakup  but yet a routine still remained it was so hard being roommates with you're now ex even if she was the one who broke up with him... she just felt like she was weighing him down on all the opitunitys  he's passed down because of her! 

so she just needed to let him go, for his sake, everyday was the same Tim always woke up way early then her I guess its just to avoid her, she would get up, cry in the shower, get changed and leave, she just couldn't face him she cried almost every night and day missing him, her eyes were usually red to the rim

she felt like she was missing a part in her life, but things have been so awkward between them I mean they haven't even spoken a word to each other in two weeks!

until one night 

storms have never been Lucys thing, she hates the loudness it brings and the feeling that shivers down her spine when lighting hits, and usually when there is a storm  Tim was always there right beside her comforting her, she always clung onto Tim. He did everything right, he'd grab some AirPods from his desk and put some music on to block out all the noise he then would grab some snacks and just hold her until it was over.

but this was her very first storm without Tim,  and she was terrified she hid under her blanket and blocked her ears in a failed attempt to blockout the noise as she cried 

then suddenly someone came straight through the door 

"Lucy! are you alright?" it was Tim, she poked her head out from the blanket to see him standing there. worried displayed on his face, lucy sniffled hiding her face again 

"oh baby, come here" he moved towards, that was the first Time he's called her that since the breakup, or even talked to her for that matter, and once Tim had his arms wrapped around her she bursted into tears burying her face into his neck 

Tim held onto her cradling her head  "I'm so sorry I wasn't here when it started baby, I know how much it scares you bubba" he whispered into her hair, she just held on to him crying even more

Tim then reached into his pocket and grabbed his (hers now) AirPods and put them in her before opening his phone and giving it to her, she sniffled as she took the phone in her hand and started playing the music 

after a couple of minutes Lucy started falling asleep so Tim took that as his cue to leave, but Lucy didn't like that idea at all, she held onto him her eyes shot wide open now as she looked up at him with the most biggest innocent brown eyes ever, her lips pouted she tugged on his arm once more signalling for him to come back to her

Tim smiled softly at her as he sat back down on Lucys bed she immediately cuddles up against him and at that very moment she felt as if she has gotten back her normal

Next day...

Lucy woke up happier then ever and for the first time in ages she felt like herself again, although she was disappointed that Tim wasn't by her she could hear him in the kitchen she smiled before putting her hair up in a messy bun and heading towards the door 

there he was making breakfast she slowly made her way over analysing what he was making 

BACON & PANCAKES! "hey lu" he smiled up at her "you hungry?" he questioned Lucy nodded taking a seat as Tim dished out there plates "hey uh I just wanted to thank you for..y'know last night" she said she took a piece of bacon looking up at him Tim stared back at her "always lu" 

"I know things haven't been the same since the whole breakup, it was nice to have you there beside me" she said "lu, what is this? what are we doing? I mean you haven't said a word to me ever since the breakup!" she looked down at her hands 

"why did we break up lu? why did we end things? why did YOU wanna breakup? I thought things were good between us"

Tim asked his face was full of confusion, tears trickled down she looked up at him taking a deep breath before telling him the truth 

"I-i didn't wanna be the reason why you turned down all those given opportunity, i felt like I was weighing you down from success so I HAD to let you go" she sniffled whispering the end of the sentence

 " oh baby, you could never EVER weigh me down from anything alright? I had a choice and I wanted to be with you! to stay with you!  Luce don't ever think that you're holding me back, when you're the on pushing me up!"

"you don't think I got all those opportunity by myself do you? you were the one who always encouraged me to reach for my goals baby, the one who believed in me, so you are the total opposite of what you think of you're self as" Tim said lifting her chin up 

she sniffled and just smile before chucking her arms over his shoulder "I missed you so much" she whispered in his neck "I missed you to baby, and I don't EVER wanna lose you again" 

"come on baby eat up and then we'll go for a walk and talk about everything ok?" she nodded happily going back and eating her breakfast
