I slammed my door and jumped on my bed. Why should he decide on my future? Why does he get to choose what I do in life? Why should I let him? That's it. I won't let

him. I grabbed a bag and begun packing a few of my things. I was so angry,I did not realise I had been crying. My face was wet with tears. A few minutes is all it

took. I just need one more thing. Money. I heard mother and father downstairs yelling. I crept past Anne's room and into my parent's. In a secret compartment behind

the picture frame was a safe. I gently lifted the picture off and onto the floor without making a sound. I entered the code 8283. The safe opened, with a slight creak.

I paused to see if anyone heard. All I could hear were my parents, still yelling. I piled money into my bag. Enough to last me a good while. Maybe $5,000. Quickly and

silently I shut the safe and put the framed picture on top. The picture caught my eye. It was our family. Mother and father standing behind a park bench while Anne and

I sat on it. I remember that day at the pond. It was a terrible day. I got bitten by an bee and had to go to the emergency room. I looked more closesly to Anne and

myself. I felt sorry for Anne. She was a beautiful woman, but it was obvious I was the better looking one out of the two of us. I felt bad for her,as I knew she wanted

it more. I couldn't care less. I knew she envied me and I hated that about her. I heard a creak in the floor boards, I looked behind me. It was Anne. Where are you

going to go?" I looked down. "I'm not sure. I'll find somewhere though. Don't you worry about me." I smiled. "How long?" I looked up at her, she was upset. "I'm not

sure. A while probably. Really though Anne, I'll be fine. If I can't find anywhere, you know I'll come back." She let out a soft laugh. We both knew I would'nt.

"Listen, you know I have to do this. It's the only way I can be happy. Please, don't tell mother or father and I'll write you, okay? So you can be sure I'm safe" She

looked down and nodded as tears rolled down her cheeks. "Okay." I pulled her into a hug. I walked over to the window and opened it. I threw my bag down first, then

swung my legs onto wall garden. I heard a crack of thunder. I knew I was doing the right thing. I climbed down and put my bag on my back and walked through the gate.

The rain was cold on my bare arms. Why did I not think to bring a jacket? Or an umbrella even?
