"So," Jimmy said as he was crunching on Nachos, "what's your story?" I looked at him, "My story?" "Tell me something about yourself." "Ha. Well I have rich parents who
thinks life is about being rich and perfect. I don't aggree with that so I ran away." Jimmy continued chewing. "I have a younger sister who knows I ran away, and my
parents are probably looking for me right now. Oh, and today is my birthday." He swallowed. "Happy Birthday." I smirked. "What's your story?" He looked up at me. "My
story ain't got much to it." "Tell me anyway." He paused for a minute. "My dad left me when I was a baby, so my mum raised me herself. Both of us find it hard to get
it a job, so we both try really hard to support eachother." I smiled at him. "That's really sweet."
"Yeah, why are you here? You said it was because of your mother or something?" I looked down. "Oh, it's a long story really." "Come on we have the time." I could feel
his eyes on me. For a moment everything was silent. All i could hear was the loud crunch as Jimmy ate more doritos. "Well.....You see, my family is really really
wealthy-" "Like rich?" "Yeah. And-" "That explains why you gave me $100" I looked at him funny. "What?" he said with a mouth full of doritos. "Are you going to let me
finish?" "Oh yeah, continue" I smiled. "So, my family is rich. They want me to go to college or get married and have kids. When I told them what I actually wanted to
do, they freaked out and it cause a massive fight so I ran away so I can 'live my dream'." "And your dream is?" I looked down. " Oh, that part doesn't matter." Jimmy
sat up, "Are you kidding? You can't leave me hanging." "You'll laugh" " I won't, okay, I promise not to laugh." He is so going to laugh. I looked down at the ground.
"Dancing." Jimmy snorted but didn't laugh. "Dancing aye? Where are you going to find somebody who employs dancers?" When I looked back up at him, he had a serious look
on his face. "I don't know..... a show maybe a circus or something. His cheeks went red. "What?" I asked him. He looked down. "Nothing." I nudged him. "No really,
what?" "I..... uh...... I work at a circus." My eyes lit up. "No way, really??? What do you do????" He kept looking down."Well..... I perfom." "What's your act?"
"......I do...... shadow puppets." "Do you think you could get me a job??????" "No. There is no room left in the show." "Pleaaaase, my act can be like 2 minutes, I
just need a place tp stay, you don't even have to pay me o-" "I can't okay. Can we just drop it?" My heart sunk. "Why not?" "You wouldn't.... fit in. It's dirty and
not a place for your kind to stay? "My kind? What's that supposed to mean?" He looked angry. "Your rich and perfect! You don't know how many of us carny folk would
kill to be where you are? My advice, Go home." "I don't want to be rich and perfect!" "Everyone does!" "You don't know me." He looked angry and upset. "I would do
anything, anything to have your life. Or just to even look like you?" What? "Look like me? What are you talking about Jimmy, any girl would find you attractive." "Well
they don't" "Jimmy, really you are one of the most handsome men I have met." He scrunched up his face is disgust. "It's all about looks right? Well no girl want to
date a freak!" He screamed in anger. He removed his mittens to reveal large lobster like hands. I was suprised. But that didn't change anything. He was still a person.
He still had feelings and had the right to have selfworth. "Wow." I looked at his face calmly, as he studied my face. "Aren't you going to run, like all the other
girls?" I gave him a funny look. "I don't care about your hands Jimmy. You are a good person. Besides. they are kinda cool anyway." "Cool?" "I don't know they are
interesting I guess, different. Unique." I grabbed his hand to study them. His fingers were long and each of ohis fingers were stuck with another, to make two large
fingers with one thumb. His hands were rough, meaning he has done some hard work. "Besides, I bet you can make pretty awesome shadow puppets with these." He let out a
small laugh. "I always wanted to be different." His face was red, and he was sweating. He must feel revieved. Lucky for him, I'm not like the others. People are people
and should treated like people, no matter what their appearance is. "So, let me get this straight. You really aren't scared of me, even after I showed you this?" I
laughed. "No. I told you, I don't think like that." He smiled and put his mittens back on. "Why are you putting them back on?" He stopped. "I'm used to it I guess. So,
you really don't judge people on what they look like." "Yeah, I guessi don't." He took a moment to think. "I might be able take you to were I work. But, you have to
talk to the owner about it, I can't guarntee anythin-" "YES!!!!Thank you so much!!!!" I hugged him tightly and gave him a kiss on the cheek. "Okay Okay" he said while
laughing. "Lets get a few hours of sleep, then I'll take you there, okay?" I smiled while trying to calm myself down. "Okay."
