It was probably around 9. The storm was still going strong. It was dark and freezing cold. I wonder if they have noticed I am gone yet. Who cares about them, right now
I have to find a place to stay. I was still a bit shaken up from what just happened and was freezing cold. I could feel my teeth chattering. What was I going to do? I
can't go back home or stay at a friends, they would just tell my parents where I am. So for now I am walking down a dark road, in the freezing rain not knowing where I
am or what to do next. Nice. I saw a light up ahead. Gas station. I started running. When I opened the doors, I heard a bell jingle. I looked at the lady at the
checkout. She had red hair and makeup caked onto her face. She gave me a funny look and went back to filing her nails. There was another man in the store as well. He
was tall and handsome, wearing a white tanktop with leather jacket and mittens. No freaking way. Jimmy. I began looking around the store for things to last me as long
as possible, while avoiding the man who just recently saved my life. As I was collecting various items off the shelf, I heard him arguing with the checkout lady,
"C'mon it's only one more dime, please I really need this." I looked over my shoulder. The lady had a bored expression on her face and spoke in monotone, "Sorry sir I
am obliged by store rules to refuse this sale." He looked desperate. "Please, I really need the gas to get home" I walked over towards the register. "Sorry sir, you
don't have enough mo-" I walked in front of him slammed down a dime in front of her face. They both looked up at me shocked. I walked back into line. Jimmy left,
without saying anything to me, like the last time I saw him. I paid and the lady and walked out the door, thinking about my next move. When I saw him. He was waiting
outside for me. Leaning on a pole next to his motorcycle. Wow. He so looked good. He began walking towards me, and as he got closer I could see the bruise on his left
eye I'm guessing from fighting Al for me. "Hey miss, I'm sorry, I forgot to thank you." I smiled, "Don't mention it." He smiled back. His smile was so warm and
sincere. "Really though ma'm, are you alright? I'm sorry but I couldn't find you when I got back"you." "Yeah, I up and left as soon as possible. I was pretty scared if
I'm being honest. I'm lucky you were there to help me out" "Oh really, it was no problem. I would of done it for anyone as pretty as you?" The smile wiped off my face.
"Seriously?" I turned away and began to walk. "Hey wait up!" he called from behind me. "I'm sorry. Really. I just... I just thought it was worth a shot...." He looked
embarressed. His cheeks were red. I felt bad for him. "The gesture was sweet, really, you just came off way too cheesy." He laughed. "My name's Jimmy. Jimmy Darling."
I smiled. "Connie Martin." "So, where are you heading Miss Connie Martin?" I giggled. "Still trying to figure that part out I guess." He looked confused. "Why? What's
your story?" "Long story short I ran away from home and now I'm standing here in the pouring rain talking to Jimmy Darling, who, just hours earlier, saved my life.Thank
you for that by the way." He chuckled. "You know a place where I could stay?" I said just realising how ridiculous I must looke right now. He looked down, like he was
ashamed. "Please? I'm kind of desperate." He looked up. "Yeah I know a place. But it ain't pretty." I lit up like a Christmas tree. "Oh I don't mind." He smiled and
kept looking down. "I bet, when you see it, your gonna regret saying that." He walked towards his bike so I followed. He gestured towards the bike, "Hop on and I'll
take ya." I wasn't sure at first. Hopping on a motorbike in the middle of nowhere during a storm, with my family not knowing my whereabouts and not knowing where I was
going. But my insticnt told me I could trust Jimmy. There was just something about him that made me swoon, unlike any guy I had ever met. He hopped on the bike, as did
I. I wrapped my hands around his waist with butterflies in my stomach. I melted upon his warm bacl, and he smelt so nice.
