You live a pretty normal life in Forks, Washington. You go to Forks High School, have a decent group of friends, and good grades.

The only thing you don't have, is a healthy mind.

It started way before you parents died, you know that, but it increased when you moved in with your uncle, Charlie Swan. You kept it a secret, not wanting to become even more of a burden for your uncle. He was mourning the death of his brother in his own way, and he didn't need his emotionally distraught niece intruding on that.

He wasn't neglectful by any means. In fact, he was more attentive then you thought he ever could be, seeing how the Swan family tend to avoid anything emotionally heavy.

Maybe that's why you didn't know how to tell Charlie how you felt about Bella moving in when he asked. You didn't want her there. You had a normal, a routine, and Bella moving in would only ruin that.

But you couldn't tell him that, because Bella's his daughter, and you're his niece, so you kept quiet and tried to be as welcoming as you could when Bella moved in.

The only good thing that came out of her moving in, was that Jacob Black started to come around more often. He already came around a lot, seeing how he's your best friend and you his, but you knew he had a crush on Bella, so the visits increased tenfold.

He knew about The Bad, as you call it, and tried his best to help you when it was clear you were struggling. But, when Bella was around, it was like he didn't even know you existed. Everything became about your cousin.

It hurts, of course, since you have a crush on Jacob, but whatever keeps him around— in your mind— is better than nothing.

Bella started to return interest when her boyfriend, Edward Cullen, and his family up and disappeared. She fell into a depression that you've seen before in yourself. It's a scary feeling, and you wish you could've helped her but, in truth, how could you help her when you couldn't help yourself?

So, even though you despise that she's showing a mutual interest in Jacob, you're happy he's pulling her out of her funk.

"Hey, (Y/N)?" Bella calls as she appears in your open bedroom doorway.

"What's up?" you ask, looking up from your homework.

"Mike, Jessica, Angela, Eric, Jake, and I are going to see Face Punch. You wanna come?"
