Year 1296...

Fyodor is now 7 years old and this is his first time to go to the academy. Even though he was home-schooled and educated by his parents and tutors, he still have to go to the academy to practice his communication skills and handling relationships. The academy he's attending isn't only an all-for-knowledge school but also a school for scholars and elites with exceptional talents and skills in magic and combat as in these academies and schools, the gods will pick their high-ranking students to serve as a scholar in Olympus.

As the heir to the throne, young Fyodor's mind wasn't thinking about how to become a great king of Azraya. But to be one of those high-ranked students to go to Olympus.

As Fyodor entered the room for the first graders, the noisy kids went silent and bowed at him. Fyodor went inside the room to find a seat but a little girl offered her seat to Fyodor which was situated in front of the teacher's lectern.

"Thank you," Fyodor said as he seated and smiled at them. "There's no need to bow at me. You can raise your heads now. We're equals here in class. I'm also inferior to the teacher same to you."

The kids raised their heads and smiled at Fyodor as they seated then they started chatting around about how humble he is and how good he is on their first day in class.
'Those treatments are making me uncomfortable, jeez.' Fyodor thought.

They chatted and roamed around the room as they establish friendships and bonds on their first day until their teacher arrived.

"Good day to Paryavarana. I am your professor, Professor Damyan, and I'll be teaching you the history of Devanagari and spiritual class and out purpose," Professor Damyan introduced himself and smiled at them as he snapped his fingers and books appeared in front of the students desks.
"Magic is also taught in this academy but I won't be your professor for that. And today without further ado, we'll discuss about the history of Devanagari," Professor Damyan added and the book opened itself and flipped pages as he waved his hand in the air.

"A long time ago, there was only darkness. The soil was unfertile, full of dusts and ashes as the oceans were raging with massive waves. Never-ending storms, hail, magma erupting from mountains... But, there was only one man who saved this world from all those calamities. It was The Deity." The book showed floating pictures in the air and the scenes are based on what Professor Damyan was teaching them. The scenes in the pictures changed from a disastrous land into a land flourished with nature and abundance of resources.

"From there, The Deity called this place Devanagari, as it will supply the needs of his next creation — us humans. The gods from other worlds admired the work of The Deity and from there they established the Olympus as the temple and dwelling place of the gods. As time passes by, new races emerged from the soil of Devanagari — the elves, dwarves, fairies and dragons. They were manifestations of humans that turned into life. Thus, Devanagari was divided into eight nations — Prithvi, Megharava, Paryavarana, Pranavata, Samudra, Agniparvata, Uttaradhruva and Parinama,"

"Years passed and the gifted ones from all races manifested powers which was granted by The Deity himself for their hardwork and determination. As powers and the population of Devanagari grew, The Deity appointed gods in each nations — Brahma ruling  Prithvi, Raijin ruling Megharava, Shiva ruling Paryavarana, Shu ruling Pranavata, Pontus ruling Samudra, Agni ruling Agniparvata, Boreas ruling Uttaradhruva and Proteus ruling Parinama,"

"Peace didn't last long as enemies from the sky descended and wrecked havoc and destruction on Devanagari. The war killed most of the gods ruling in each nations as they protect their land and their races. The Deity was so devastated that he closed and concealed the existence of Devanagari from the space beyond ours. The Deity established the system of Samsara as Olympus was no longer accessible nor approachable to anyone unless given the opportunity and chances. The Deity appointed new generation of gods to rule each nations until the rebellion and fall of Uttaradhruva and Parinama. Now, Devanagari is ruled under the third generation of gods in each natio-"

"What happened during the rebellion and fall of Uttaradhruva and Parinama?" the curious Fyodor asked as he raised his hand with a determined look.

"The books and records of history at this era were deleted and eradicated as it was banned to be taught in schools. All we know about the tragic fate of Uttaradhruva and Parinama are through gossips in which we can't guarantee their credibility," Professor Damyan answered and sighed as he waved his hand and his book closed. He approached to Fyodor who's facing down then knelt in front of him as he pats his shoulder. "But my professor once told me that Uttaradhruva and Parinama met their tragic fates because of their love for their people."

"Is love that dangerous?" Fyodor looked at Damyan.
"Are you really curious about what happened to Uttaradhruva and Parinama? Well, my professor passed it on to me before. She said she was also in that era during the rebellion," Professor Damyan answered as he went back to the lectern and waved his hands as images appeared in the air.

"Uttaradhruva's god, Ragan, wanted to change the system and made a book about the Forbidden Knowledge. It spread across Parinama which made Parinama rebel against its god and killed him. It made The Deity furious and looked for the culprit. Ragan was caught and given the Divine Punishment. Uttaradhruva and Parinama were destroyed and were erased on the map as if it didn't exist. Ragan's allies were also punished by The Deity, some of them were killed and tortured until this day." Professor Damyan lowered his hand and images in the air vanished.

"That's so tragic..." a girl from Fyodor's class said as tears fell from her eyes.
"Anyone who opposes and challenges The Deity will face such consequences. It is an established rule across Devanagari and everyone must follow. No one knows what this Forbidden Knowledge is. Ragan took this Forbidden Knowledge to his grave and must never be brought back to the surface again," Professor Damyan explained as he patted his student's shoulder and smiled. "A good kid who follows the rules will also receive a gift. The Deity knows whether you're a good kid or not."

The kids' eyes gleamed as they heard the word 'gift' and chatted on one another, reflecting on what their professor said.

"What are those powers and gifts that you mentioned earlier, professor?" a boy asked with his eyes gleaming, waiting for an answer.
"Let's see," Damyan touched his chin thinking of an answer then smiles.

"Maybe like this." Damyan waved his hand and the boy floated in the air, looked frightened and excited as he was floating then Damyan slowly lowered his hand as he brought the boy down. "The Deity granted me the gift of manipulating air. Professor Damyan is one with the wind."

The students were enthralled and begged their professor one more time to show his powers once more while little Fyodor was watching them then looked at his hands, shedding with tiny pieces of ice shards. He hid his hands as he put on his gloves then approached his classmates, amazed by their professor showing his tricks and his abilities with manipilating air.
