After 3 years
Today is second day after Raine gain back his vision. I was supposed to be standing by his side but look at me sitting on the floor all messed up.
"I don't think I can do it." It's not like Raine doesn't know about my vitiligo but it's me , I couldn't gather up my courage to face him.
"I trust him" I know he's not like everyone, he's different but what if he hates me ? What if he pity me like everyone else did? What if , what if....
"I can't fight with my fears " I was snapped out of thought by ring Bell.
Ding dong
"Who's there?" No answer.
I peeked from peep hole and there was no one. I opened the door
"Ahh" some one rushed inside the apartment.
"Raine?" He locked the door and stood in front of me.
"So beautiful" his eyes were twinkling even brighter than stars as he said that to me .
Raine finally saw me , he knows now how I look ,
He said I'm beautiful.
I breathed out the air I didn't know I was holding,
strange it's not like I was waiting for his approval , but the fact that he accepted me and appreciated the way I'm , just lighten the weight I was Bering from my childhood.
"It's ok look in my eyes". I did and all I could see was the excitement, shyness, happiness in his eyes.
Honk honk i ignored all the noise coming from the background and just focused on him.
"Am I in heaven?"
"What no?"
"Then how come a goddess is standing infront of me?" He successfully made me smile.
"What ? Raine it's so cheesy" I slap his chest as we both smile at each other.
"You look so gorgeous"
"Don't comfort me"
"If I could give you one thing in life. I would give you the ability to see yourself through my eyes, only then will you realize how beautiful you are."
Shit, how could I even think this man will ever be like someone else, it was foolish of me to think he will pity me , hate me , reject me.
I couldn't stop my tears
"Raine "
"I'm so..rrry" I should had stay with me when he gain his vision. But i couldn't overcome my insecurities and fears.
"Shhhh it's ok " we were interrupted
Knock knock
I marched towards the door.
"Don't open the door" he advised.
"Why?" Raine sat on the couch and continued checking me out with playful smirk.
"Just do as I say don't open the door"
"But why?" I opened the door and suddenly reports rushed inside.
"Wow!!" And one dead glance by Raine they all went out and I took my chance to lock the door.
"Who are they?" I asked
Ring ring
Why it feels deja vu, I picked the call.
"Hello?"
"What you guys did again?" Dad asked
"Nothing"
"You guys are on television" he informed.
"What?" I took the remote, switched on the television and the headlines are " Walton in a relationship ",
who's walton. All the reporters were showing live footage of my apartments from outside.
Raine took the remote and switched it off.
"Raine?"
"No need."
"Concentrate on me" he said as he focused my attention on him , pulling me closer as his hand hugged my waist.
"What's happening?"
"It happened because they saw me with you "
"Raine?"
"Yes love"
They saw him with me? Reporters already caught me with him once and second wouldn't do this hype thing unless..
"What's your last name?"
"Walton, our last name is Walton love"
"Walton! " walton family is one of the richest families in NY and not to mention one of the biggest shareholders of my mom's hospital.
" Yup, my late grandfather named the company on my name "
" why know?"
" Grandfather wished that I should be enlightened about this when I'm physically and mentally stable "
He said as give little squeeze to my hand. I tightened my grip and gave a peck .
" You are more than" he interrupted me.
" I'm more than physically and mentally stable Diana just because of you"
Because of me? Little things I wish he knew that he's the reason now I'm ready to face this world again with real me.
He left my hand and walked to the balcony, turned back , looked in my eyes and leaned out his hand.
"Dia Love would you like to explore the colours of this world with we, by my side ?" I'm more than ready to face this world.
"I did love too" I took his hand and walked in the balcony, letting every single person know about us.
And most important thing letting everyone know that I have vitiligo! And I have accepted it from the bottom of my heart.
Raine hugged me from behind giving nice headlines for reporters, leaned and whispered in my ears.
"Mine"
