Bentley's POV
I awoke the next morning to an intense burning sensation on my neck. My hand instinctively reached up to touch it, and as soon as I did, I felt the pleasurable electric tingles that only Nikolai's touch can cause.
My cheeks flushed as the memory of Nikolai's lips kissing my neck appeared in my mind. I wasn't exactly sure why I allowed him to do that, but those sensational sparks were just too alluring to ignore. I felt myself smiling, and instantly scolded myself for reacting like this all because of a boy.
"Sweetheart, are you awake?" My mother's voice reached my ears, followed by the sound of her coming into my room.
"Yeah. I'm awake." I responded, my voice sounding scratchy and unused. I felt my bed dip down, and then I felt my mother's delicate hand caressing my cheek.
I have to admit, even at my age I am still a mama's boy. I'm not ashamed of it; I love my mother to death. If it weren't for her, then I have no idea where my life would have taken me. She has been the most important person in my life, and I could never ask for a better mother.
"Sleep well? Lucas told me that you had a very interesting time the other day, and even went out with the mayor yesterday." Mom teased, even going as far as to pinch my cheek. I blushed and playfully swatted her hands away.
"Yeah, I did have a crazy night the other night. And yesterday was really fun, Nikolai showed me around the town. He stopped at a lot of places and parked so that he could describe where we were. I really enjoyed it." I said, feeling my cheeks burn at the thought of Nikolai.
"Mhm. Well it looks like I have to meet this mysterious Nikolai. Anyone who can make my baby blush is someone that I need to meet!" Mom squealed, then planted a soft kiss on my forehead.
"Mom!" I groaned, wiping my forehead like a little 3 year old.
"C'mon, go take a shower and brush away that nasty morning breath. I'm driving us to the Town Hall so I can meet Nikolai." Mom said, just as she disappeared from my bedroom.
I couldn't help but feel a million butterflies fluttering in my stomach just at the thought of going to see Nikolai so soon.
Regardless, I got up and cleaned myself up. I could feel a bit of stubble growing on my chin since Mom or Lucas haven't shaved my face for a few days, but I left it anyways. When I got dressed I decided to wear a blue shirt and a pair of black, jean shorts. It was sorta nice out today, so I want to be comfortable in what I'm wearing.
I carefully made my way over to the stairs.
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9... Nine. It's nine steps from my bedroom to the top of the stairs. Gotta remember that.
I held onto the railing as I descended the steps, and I was met with my Mother's voice calling to me from outside.
I followed the sound of her voice until I was standing outside, and immediately she was by my side.
"Look at you, Sweetie! You had a successful morning routine in the new house!" Mom yelled, hugging me tightly. I know she's proud, but I've been blind my whole life. It's not like this is new to me.
"Yay." I muttered, holding her hand as she helped me into the car.
"When you were in the shower I bought us coffee." Mom stated as we were driving. I reached for the cupholder that is closest to the median between our seats. It was established years ago that this cupholder was mine if I was in the car.
I sipped on my French Vanilla Latte for a little while, and occasionally muttered along to familiar songs on the radio. When we pulled into what I'm assuming is Nik's house, Mom shut off the car but we remained inside.
